Amelia store robbed at gunpoint (updated)

Police are searching for the person or persons who robbed the Amelia Family Dollar at gunpoint Sunday afternoon.
Traci Landry, St. Mary Sheriff spokeswoman, said about $150 was stolen from the La. 182 store.
Police were notified around 3:30 p.m. Sunday of the incident. There were no injuries reported, Landry said.
“While detectives have gathered evidence from the crime, there is no detailed description of the person(s) involved for public release at this time,” Landry said in a text message this morning.
Police continued to gather evidence regarding the crime this morning, she said.
