A 22-year-old Bayou Vista man was charged with online solicitation of a 14-year-old girl after a Morgan City Police investigation, Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch said in a news release.
Terrence J. Scadlock, 22, of Billiot Lane in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 2:17 p.m. Wednesday for computer aided solicitation for sexual purposes.
Detectives conducted an investigation regarding the online solicitation of a juvenile victim for sexual purposes, and Scadlock was identified as a suspect and was alleged to have solicited sex from a 14-year-old female juvenile, Crouch said. Based on the evidence recovered, Scadlock was jailed with no bail set yet.
Crouch reported the following arrests:
—Floyd D. Womack, 56, of Fifth Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:46 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for careless operation.
An officer stopped a speeding vehicle driven by Womack near Morgan City Junior High School. He was jailed and released on bail.
—Morris V. Garrison, 19, of Egle Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:13 p.m. Wednesday for theft.
Officers were summoned to the Morgan City High School in regards to a theft and identified Garrison as a suspect in the theft. Garrison was jailed and released after posting cash bail.
—Robert Gussman III, 19, of Bush Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday for possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Kathryn Guarisco, 19, of Bush Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday for possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—John C. Aucoin, 32, of Crenshaw Drive in Berwick, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday for possession of a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance -synthetic marijuana.
Detectives investigated the importation of synthetic marijuana into the Morgan City area for distribution. The investigation led to a Bush Street residence and identified several suspects as being involved. Several bags of synthetic marijuana were found. Aucoin was released after posting cash bail. Gussman and Guarisco remain in jail.  
—Phong Huy Nguyen, 40, of Roderick Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:34 p.m. Wednesday for driving while intoxicated and improper lane usage.
An officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner in the area of Victor II Boulevard and Amber Street. Nguyen was identified as the driver and submitted to a field sobriety test which he did poorly on. He was jailed where he refused the Intoxilyzer 5000 test.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 34 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
A 31-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in Bayou Vista on drug charges after he was seen driving naked in a parking lot, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
Nathel Lewis, 31, no address given, was arrested at 3:29 p.m. Wednesday for flight from an officer, obscenity, possession of Schedule I, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A deputy responded to a complaint of a person driving naked in a Bayou Vista parking lot. The deputy located the suspect vehicle and initiated a stop. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Lewis, failed to pull over and continued to drive into another parking lot.
Lewis was stopped with the assistance of another deputy patrolling the area. A small marijuana cigarette and drug paraphernalia items were found in the vehicle, Hebert said. Lewis was jailed with no bail set.
—Alvin J. Durapau Jr., 26, of the 100 block of Todd Lane in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, and violation of a drug free zone.
Narcotics division detectives were contacted by U.S. Marshals who located illegal narcotics during the execution of an arrest warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Todd Lane in Bayou Vista. Detectives received consent to search the residence and located marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A 2-month-old child was inside the residence which was also located within 2,000 feet of a church, Hebert said. The child was released to the custody of a parent. Durapau was jailed with no bail set.
—Naomi Courville, 36, of the 400 block of Bush Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:26 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons to appear in court on Jan. 31.
—Gene Webb, 23, of the 200 block of Grandwood Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant from Franklin Police for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and driving under suspension. Webb was taken to the Franklin Police Department on the warrant. Webb was jailed on $325 cash bail, Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire said.
—Elizabeth R. Lewis, 21, of the 200 block of Jones Street in Berwick, was arrested at 4:18 p.m. Wednesday for theft of goods at a store in Bayou Vista. She was released on a summons to appear in court on Jan. 31.
St. Martin Sheriff Ronnie Theriot reported the following arrest:
—Franklin Pearce, 28, of the 3100 block of La. 70 in Stephensville, was arrested for disturbing the peace and operating a vehicle while license was suspended.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
