Arrest reports

Three people were arrested Wednesday after a woman stole items from a Morgan City gas station and did not pay for gasoline, Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks said in a news release.
—Mark A. Smith, 50, of Myrtle Street in Patterson, was arrested 2:25 p.m. Wednesday for possession of drug paraphernalia sixth offense and possession of marijuana third offense.
—Bradley E. Druilhet, 27, of Adams Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
—Laura L. Cutrera, 47, of Federal Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday for theft of goods (value $13.12) and theft of gasoline (value $50.02).
Detectives arrived at the Shell gas station on La. 182 when they were confronted by the clerk who advised that she had just been robbed. The clerk pointed a vehicle out leaving the scene. The detectives apprehended and detained the vehicle in the area of La. 182 and Ditch Avenue, Banks said. The occupants of the vehicle were detained and an investigation into the incident followed.
Officers learned that the business had not been robbed but that a passenger in the vehicle, Cutrera, had committed a theft of goods from inside the store, Banks said. The female was also accused of attempting to leave the premises without paying for fuel, the chief said.
Cutrera was arrested for the theft of goods. The driver of the vehicle, Druihlet, was also arrested after he was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Another passenger, Smith, was arrested after he was found to be in possession of a pipe commonly used to consume illegal narcotics and suspected marijuana which he attempted to discard, the chief said. All three were jailed.

—Charles K. Carter, 48, of West Monroe, was arrested at 8:02 p.m. Wednesday for driving while intoxicated fifth offense and improper lane usage.
An officer with the Morgan City Police Department was dispatched to the area of U.S. 90 and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in reference to a reckless driver. Officers observed a vehicle matching the description being driven in an erratic manner, using both lanes of travel.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Carter, was detained. Carter, who almost fell as he exited the vehicle, exhibited signs of impairment and was given a field sobriety test in which he did poorly on, Banks said. He was jailed and registered .231 grams-percent blood alcohol concentration on the Intoxilyzer 5000 test.
—Baseemah Gray, 32, of Short Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 6:52 p.m. Wednesday for possession of Schedule II cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives with the narcotics division of the Morgan City Police Department executed a search warrant at a Short Street residence. The warrant was obtained during an investigation into the illegal sales of narcotics from the residence. The suspect, Gray, was located inside the residence at the time of the search warrant and found to be in possession of suspected cocaine, a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, as well as items of drug paraphernalia. Gray was jailed
—Lisa B. Raymond, 46, of Chennault Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:32 p.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace.
Officers were summoned to an Allison Street address regarding a disturbance. Officers were advised that Raymond came to the residence, causing a disturbance and appeared to be attempting to get into a physical altercation with the resident there, Banks said. Raymond, who according to witnesses refused to leave, was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 54 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Cotina P. Rink, 38, of the 3200 block of Jennie Drive in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for theft by fraud. The warrant stems from an investigation into a mobile phone reported stolen from a store in Bayou Vista. The detective working on the case learned that the phone had been returned to the customer service desk where a female claimed the lost item.
The detective determined that the female, later identified as Rink, was not the true owner of the mobile phone. Rink was arrested May 12 on a warrant for illegal possession of stolen things. Continuing the investigation, the detective questioned Rink about the cell phone. Rink admitted to selling the property for $100, Hebert said. The detective obtained a second warrant for Rink’s arrest.
A deputy located Rink at her residence on the warrant. Rink was jailed and released on $1,000 bail. The detective recovered and returned the stolen cell phone to its rightful owner.
—Brandi D. Anthony, 38, of the 1500 block of Fairview Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 6:46 p.m. Wednesday for theft of goods and remaining where forbidden. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy was told by store security that Anthony was seen concealing items on her person before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. The deputy also learned that Anthony had been previously banned from the property. The deputy transported Anthony to the parish jail for booking. She was later released on $1,500 bail.
—Destanie Daigle, 23, of the 1400 block of Fairmont Avenue in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. A deputy made contact with Daigle on Fairmont Avenue and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. Daigle was jailed with no bail set.
—Deshawn Moore, 18, of the 1000 block of Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:51 a.m. today for possession of Schedule I drugs.
A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed the driver of a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign on the corner of Southeast Boulevard and Middle Road. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver identified as Moore. While speaking with Moore, the deputy saw pieces of a green leafy substance on the driver’s seat. The deputy located a bag of marijuana inside the vehicle. Moore was jailed with bail set at $2,000.
Taylor Smith, 20, of Marquis Manor in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:01 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for possession of Schedule II Vyvanse. Narcotics detectives located Smith in Bayou Vista on the warrant. The warrant stems from a traffic stop investigation in November of 2012 during which detectives located a Vyvanse pill. Smith was jailed and released on $3,500 bail.
—Michael Thibodeaux, 38, of the 1800 block of Saturn Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 7:21 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives located Thibodeaux at his residence on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation where detectives located marijuana and paraphernalia items at Thibodeaux’s residence. Detectives released Thibodeaux on a summons to appear in court on Aug. 22.
—Rhonda L. Lodrigue, 37, of the 100 block of Two Sisters Court in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives located Lodrigue at her residence and placed her under arrest on the active warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation during which detectives located marijuana and paraphernalia items at Lodrigue’s residence. Detectives released Lodrigue on a summons to appear in court Aug. 22.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
