Arrests reports

A 29-year-old Morgan City woman was arrested Thursday in connection with a June 27 shooting in Morgan City during which two vehicles and a residence were struck with bullets, Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks said in a news release.
—Devan N. Serpa, 29, of Glenwood Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 4:24 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for principal to illegal use of a weapon or dangerous instrumentality, principal to aggravated criminal damage to property and obscenity.
Detectives secured an arrest warrant for Serpa in a continuation of an investigation into a shooting which took place in the Oak Street area of Morgan City, which was reported on June 27. In that incident, several shots were fired, damaging two vehicles and entering an Oak Street residence, Banks said.
There were no injuries reported. Serpa was developed as a suspect and ultimately identified as a person who was involved in the incident
She was located at the Morgan City Police Department. Once being incarcerated, Serpa exposed her genital area to a male correctional officer during booking procedures, Banks said.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Carlos Cespedes, 48, of Victor II Boulevard in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:21 p.m. Sunday on a warrant for domestic abuse battery.
Cespedes was located at his residence and jailed.
—Dakota N. Mccloy, 18, of Belanger Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:12 p.m. Thursday for hit and run driving and reckless operation of a moving vehicle.
Officers responded to a hit and run crash in the area of Levee Road. After arrival and further investigation, officers learned that a vehicle left the road, striking a parked vehicle and fled the scene. Officers were able to identify the driver, Mccloy, who was jailed. There were no injuries related to the crash, Banks said.
—Alicia R. Bertrand, 28, of Ninth Street in Franklin, was arrested at 5:27 p.m. Saturday for theft of goods (value $77.33) and on a warrant for theft by shoplifting.
Officers responded to a complaint of a shoplifter at a La. 182 supermarket. Officers were advised that Bertrand had concealed several items and attempted to leave the premises. Bertrand was jailed.
—Ian Francis, 53, of Jacobs Street in Berwick, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. Saturday for hit and run driving.
Officers responded to a vehicle crash in the area of First Street and Railroad Avenue in Morgan City. Officers were advised by witnesses that a vehicle had struck a parked vehicle. The witnesses said the driver and passenger appeared to look in the direction of the crash, then leave the scene, Banks said.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle and observed damages as described and consistent with a vehicle crash. Francis was jailed and released after posting cash bail. There were no injuries related to the vehicle crash, Banks said.
—Carlos D. Uribina, 40, of First Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:34 a.m. Saturday for no driver’s license
Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner in the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard. Officers located the vehicle as described and identified the driver as Uribina. He was jailed.
—Andra D. Wilson, 28, of Louisiana Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:55 p.m. Sunday for disturbing the peace by using loud, annoying or profane words to another.
Officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a La. 182 motel and arrived to investigate. Wilson was located at the location and was advised to leave the premises.
Wilson, who continued to use loud and profane language, was given an opportunity to leave the premises and was ordered to calm the disturbance. She continued to use and shout loud profane language in the presence of others as well as several children in the area, Banks said. She was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 173 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests relating to east St. Mary Parish:
—Ruben Robles, 39, of the 100 block of Brito Boulevard in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:06 a.m. Thursday for simple assault, simple criminal damage to property, and disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy responding to a complaint of a disturbance on Barrow Street determined that Robles and another male were involved in a fight, Hebert said. During the altercation, Robles damaged a vehicle by punching it, he said. Robles was jailed with no bail set.
—Julien Roge, 28, of the 300 block of La. 495 in Cloutierville, was arrested at 11:03 p.m. Friday for disturbing the peace intoxicated, obstruction of justice, battery of a police officer, and public intimidation.
—Justin Rachal, 34, of the 1900 block of Old River Road in Natchitoches, was arrested at 11:11 p.m. Friday for disturbing the peace intoxicated.
A deputy responded to a complaint of a fight at a business on La. 182 in Amelia. The deputy located several people who appeared to be highly intoxicated. As the deputy conducted an investigation into the complaint, Roge attempted to walk away from the area.
The deputy detained Roge who then made verbal threats against the deputy and during Roge’s subsequent arrest, he attempted to pull away from the deputy, Hebert said. Rachal was arrested and later released on $500 bail. Roge was jailed and released on $19,000 bail.
—Nicholas Brison, 25, of the 500 block of Roderick Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:56 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Brison was jailed with bail set at $100,000.
—Gloria Davis, 29, of the 1500 block of Live Oak Street in Patterson, was arrested at 11:57 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for theft of goods. A deputy located Davis at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin on the warrant. The deputy released Davis on a summons to appear in court Oct. 13.
—Krystal Meranta, 25, of the 200 block of Clarke Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 12:18 p.m. Thursday on three warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy located Meranta at a residence on Yellow Bayou Road in Centerville on the warrants. Meranta was jailed with no bail set.
—Megan R. Gaudet, 22, of the 100 block of Parro Lane in Berwick, was arrested at 1:13 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle without a driver’s license. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville, a booking officer learned of the warrant for her arrest from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.
—Kody Leger, 36, of the 700 block of Hilda Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:12 p.m. Thursday for theft.
A deputy investigating a complaint of a theft from a residence in Bayou Vista identified Leger as a suspect in the crime.
The deputy learned that Leger took a gaming system from a residence while he was there making a delivery on behalf of the company for which he worked, Hebert said. The deputy located the gaming system in Leger’s possession at a residence in Berwick. Leger was jailed and released on $1,000 bail.
—Wanya M. Francis, 19, of the 1500 block of Live Oak Street in Patterson, was arrested at 7:09 a.m. Saturday on a warrant for simple criminal damage to property. A deputy located Francis at his residence on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of sugar being poured into the gas tank of a vehicle. The deputy assigned to the case determined that Francis was the person who damaged the vehicle, the sheriff said. Francis was jailed with no bail set.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Jacob Alcina, 26, of the 700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Patterson, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Thursday for possession of stolen things and unauthorized use of an access card as theft. He was jailed with no bail set yet.
—John Alcina, 29, of the 700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Patterson, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Thursday for failure to comply with drug court for DWI first offense, possession of cocaine, and possession of oxycodone. He was jailed on $300,000 bail.
—Earl Edwards Jr., 47, of the 500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Patterson, was arrested at 9:47 p.m. Friday for simple battery on an officer, disturbing the peace by language, resisting an officer by force, no proof of insurance, impeding flow of traffic and no seat belt. Edwards was released on $1,553 bail.
—Bobby Mouton, 40, of the 800 block of Tall Timbers Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 8:09 p.m. Friday for simple battery. Mouton was jailed on $396 bail.
—Kayla Boudreaux, 25, of the 200 block of Delcy Drive in Broussard, was arrested at 10:42 p.m. Saturday for speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone and driving while intoxicated. Boudreaux was released on $8,000 bail.
—Michael McKinnon, 22, of the 100 block of Morris Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. Sunday for violation of a protective order and simple battery. McKinnon was jailed with no bail set yet.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Vincent Blackwell, 49, of Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:43 a.m. Friday for theft by shoplifting. Blackwell was released on $250 bail.
—Leon Scott, 27, of La. 182 in Berwick, was arrested at 8:47 p.m. Friday for resisting an officer, possession of marijuana second offense and on a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for possession of marijuana. Scott was jailed awaiting bail to be set.
—Gavin Landry, 29, of Belle River Road in Pierre Part, was arrested at 1:49 p.m. Sunday for aggravated assault with a firearm. The arrest was in regard to a complaint of a person brandishing a gun while driving on U.S. 90. Landry was jailed on $3,500 bail.
—Jamichael Bowie, 24, of Fourth Street in Berwick, was arrested at 1:34 p.m. Sunday for disturbing the peace by engaging in a fistic encounter. Bowie was released on $160 bail.
