Arrests reports

Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Anthony Watson, 23, of Fifth Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:26 a.m. today for possession of Schedule II crack cocaine.
Officers observed a suspicious person in the area of Fourth and Freret streets and stopped to investigate. Watson was observed attempting to conceal a cellophane bag in his waistband as he spoke to officers. The officers were able to seize the item and determined that it contained several small pieces of suspected crack cocaine, Banks said. Watson was jailed.
—Ronald R. Vercher, 55, of Franklin, was arrested at 2:26 p.m. Monday for criminal mischief.
Officers were dispatched to a Brashear Avenue office building regarding someone tampering with a surveillance camera at that location.
Officers learned that a man had used a chair to gain access to a camera at that location and moved the camera. They advised that the man then left the building, Banks said. Officers located a person and detained him for investigation. Vercher was jailed and released after posting cash bail.
—Toby Lebouef, 39, of Montegut, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. Monday for disturbing the peace intoxicated and on a City Court warrant for a probation violation.
Officers were dispatched to a La. 182 motel regarding a disturbance. Officers encountered Lebouef. Officers learned that Lebouef had been involved in a verbal altercation with a female in the parking lot. As officers were speaking with Lebouef, they determined that the subject was intoxicated. Lebouef continued to shout at the woman despite officers’ efforts to calm him. He was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 37 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrest in east St. Mary Parish:
—Angel L. Maxwell, 32, of the 100 block of Timothy Street in Pierre Part, was arrested at 3:36 p.m. Monday for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Maxwell was seen concealing an item before attempting to leave the store without paying for the item, Hebert said. Maxwell was released on a summons to appear in court Oct. 13.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
