Arrests reports

An Amelia woman was arrested for taking a baseball bat to two vehicles at a Centerville business.
Gladys Montes-Dimas, 36, of the 300 block of Degravelle Road in Amelia was charged at 11:43 a.m. Thursday with two counts of simple criminal damage to property.
Sheriff Mark Hebert said a deputy responded to a complaint of property damage at a business near U.S. 90 in Centerville where he learned Montes-Dimas, damaged two vehicles with a baseball bat.
She remains jailed with no bail set.
Hebert also reported the following arrests:
—Jermaine Keys, 39, of the 100 block of Aucoin Road in Amelia, was arrested at 6:50 a.m. Thursday for domestic abuse battery. The deputy located a male and female arguing in the roadway. Both were detained.
During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Keys bit the female on the face during an argument. Keys was jailed with no bail set.
—Whitney G. Thomas, 26, of the 100 block of Aucoin Road in Amelia, was arrested at 6:45 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to honor written promise to appear.
Deputies investigating a report of a battery in the Amelia area made contact with Thomas and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. She was released on a summons to appear in court April 7.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—Austin Ray, 19, of the 100 block of Roussell Lane in Patterson was arrested at 5:50 p.m. Thursday for possession of synthetic cannabinoids.
He remains jailed with no bail set.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
Morgan City Assistant Police Chief Mark Griffin Jr. reported the following arrests:
—Chet Williams, 47, of Shady Grove in Patterson, was arrested at 12:21 p.m. Thursday for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, second offense possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle in the area of Freret and Second streets fail to stop at a stop sign. The driver, Williams, was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana. He remains jailed.
—David Schilling, 57, of Morgan City was arrested at 5:44 p.m. Thursday for stop sign violation with an accident and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Officers responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of David Drive and Victor II Boulevard. There, they learned Shilling failed to yield at a stop sign, pulling into traffic, resulting in the crash. Schilling exhibited signs of impairment, according to reports, and submitted to a field sobriety test, which he failed. Schilling was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was provided an opportunity to submit to an Intoxilyzer 5000 test, which he refused. He remains jailed.
