A 47-year-old Alabama man was jailed this morning after witnesses at a Morgan City lounge told police the man said he had a gun and was going to kill someone, Morgan City Assistant Police Chief Mark Griffin Jr. said in a news release.
—Terry Hanks, 47, of Fultondale, Alabama, was arrested at 12:47 a.m. today for disturbing the peace and simple assault.
Officers were dispatched to Cajun Country Lounge in reference to a suspicious person. Witnesses stated that Hanks made statements that he had a gun and was going to kill someone, Griffin said. Witnesses said he was very loud and refused to leave, Griffin said. When officers arrived, no weapon was located on Hanks, Griffin said. Hanks was jailed.
Griffin reported the following arrests:
—A juvenile male, 14, of Morgan City, at 9:55 a.m. Monday on a warrant for criminal damage to property
The warrant stems from an incident that had taken place on Jan. 31, where a teacher at Morgan City High School noticed the teacher’s lounge was in disarray and the copy machine had been damaged, Hebert said.
After viewing video surveillance, the juvenile was identified by members of the school staff, Hebert said. A warrant was issued and the juvenile’s parents were contacted and informed of the warrant. On Monday, the juvenile turned himself in on the warrant, booked and released to his guardian.

During the search, officers located suspected hydrocodone in one of Landry’s pockets, Griffin said.
Salley was found to have a patch of suspected Fentanyl in his possession, Griffin said. Morgan was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and Clonazepam, Griffin said. When officers approached Cubbedge to detain him he tried to pull away from officers and was later subdued, Griffin said. All four suspects were jailed.
