A Bayou Vista man was arrested on numerous drug charges after a search warrant was executed at his home.
Jason Leblanc, 37, of the 100 block of Lagonda Lane in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 5:42 p.m. Tuesday for possession of Schedule II (Vyvanse), operation of clandestine laboratory, possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine), possession of Schedule I (marijuana), manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of legend drug (Marcaine with epinephrine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division detectives located marijuana, epinephrine, methamphetamine, several items of drug paraphernalia, Vyvanse pills and items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine, Sheriff Mark Hebert said.
Leblanc was jailed with no bail set.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 40 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests relating to east St. Mary Parish:
—Tina Dupre, 43, of the 100 block of Tut Street, Pierre Part, was arrested at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday for speeding and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on La. 70 near Lake End Park in Morgan City.
Dupre, the driver, was jailed on the warrant and later released on $1,250 bail.
—Leonell Walker, 46, of the 600 block of Kelli Street in Patterson, was arrested at 11:11 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Walker at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse, and he later was released on a summons.
—Mandi Hatfield, 27, of the 1400 block of Saturn Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy located Hatfield at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse. She remains jailed with no bail set.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported two arrests:
—Brian Delaune, 29, of Bush Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:48 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse on warrants for violation of a protective order and stalking. He remains jailed with no bail set.
—Jacob Hanks, 25, of River Road in Berwick, was arrested at 8:09 p.m. Tuesday on River Road on a warrant for illegal possession of stolen things. He remained jailed this morning on preset bail of $1,000.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Lakendrick C. Chambers, 24, of Garber Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:37 a.m. Tuesday for domestic abuse battery and simple criminal damage to property (under $500).
Officers responded to a complaint of a domestic disturbance at a Garber Street residence and located a female who said she had been in an argument with Chambers. The female said the confrontation turned physical at which time Chambers struck her several times, causing minor injuries, and damaged a cell phone, valued at $200, to prevent a call for assistance.
Officers located Chambers, who left the residence a short time earlier, and arrested him. He was incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail.
—Effie L. Wiltz, 28, of Oregon Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:39 a.m. Tuesday for unauthorized use of an access card.
Wiltz turned herself in at the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked on an outstanding Morgan City Police Department warrant accusing her of using another person’s access card to make purchases valued at $637.25 from a local drug store. The investigation began July 2. Wiltz was jailed.
—Dustin W. Macaluso, 32, of Hilda Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday on warrants for telephone harassment and simple assault.
Macaluso was located at a Hilda Street residence and was placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department from a November 2013 incident. Macaluso was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was jailed.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
