A 55-year-old Morgan City man was charged Thursday on an aggravated assault warrant, Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks said in a news release.
—Ronald Winslow, 55, of Ciro Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:53 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for aggravated assault and criminal trespassing.
Winslow was located near Teche Regional Medical Center and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. He was jailed and released after posting $1,000 bail.
Banks reported the following arrests:
—Reginald C. Wolfe Jr., 41, of Houma, was arrested at 7:27 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana, improper lighting and expired license plate.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling on La. 182 with improper lighting and expired license plate. The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver, Wolfe. He was found to possess marijuana. Wolfe was jailed.
—Kendrick J. Madison, 37, of Pine Street in Franklin, was arrested at 3:31 a.m. today on warrants for loud music, expired inspection sticker and no insurance.
Madison was located at a La. 182 apartment complex and was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 42 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Courtland Fullwood, 26, of the 1400 block of First Street in Patterson, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, operating a vehicle without a license, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy conducting a warrants check during booking learned that Fullwood held an active warrant. No bail is set.
—Douglas Frey, 29, of the 7800 block of Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville, Florida, was arrested at 12:58 a.m. today for reckless operation of a vehicle, failure to signal a lane change, improper lane usage and driving under suspension.
A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a vehicle speeding 67 miles per hour in a posted 45 mph zone on La. 182 near the Town of Berwick line.
The deputy followed the vehicle and observed the driver travel onto the shoulder of the roadway, making a U-turn across both lanes of traffic, Hebert said. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Frey. The deputy learned that Frey was driving with a suspended license. Frey was jailed with bail set at $2,000.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—Tamara Espinosa, 24, of the 1700 block of Bingham Street in Houston, Texas, was arrested at 12:50 a.m. today for careless operation, no driver’s license and speeding 96 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone. Espinosa was released on $706 cash bail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Stacey Tabor, 32, of Bergeron Lane in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:18 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for theft of fuel. Tabor was jailed on $1,000 bail.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Ronnie Theriot reported the following arrest:
—Shane Suire, 18, of the 1000 block of Susan Drive in Morgan City, was arrested on simple burglary/movable or immovable and theft for items valued from $0 to $500.
