Arrests reports

A Patterson teen was charged Thursday in an Oct. 7 incident stemming from a fight in Bayou Vista during which the victim received injuries to his face, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Troy Davis, 17, of the 100 block of Natalie Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 10:35 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Main Street in Franklin on warrants for two counts of second degree battery, simple battery and disturbing the peace.
The arrest stems from an incident which happened on Oct. 7 in which a fight had taken place near the Bayou Vista area. The victim received facial injuries requiring medical treatment, the sheriff said. Davis was jailed with bail set at $30,000.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 45 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Herman Lacarte Jr., 47, of the 800 block of Garber Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 4:15 p.m. Thursday at the St. Mary Parish Jail for entering contraband into a penal institution and possession of Schedule I synthetic cannabinoids. While checking Lacarte’s property, the items were found. He was jailed with no bail set yet.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Robert Taylor, 30, of Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:14 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for theft more than $500. Taylor was jailed.
According to the warrant, Taylor is suspected in a theft of a camper trailer in September 2012, Banks said. No other information is available at this time, according to the news release.
—Timothy Hillebran, 37, of Morgan City, was arrested at 8:32 a.m. Thursday for theft by shoplifting-value $229.41.
Police were dispatched to a grocery store for a theft. Upon arrival, officers spoke with management and were advised that Hillebran attempted to leave the store with five cases of shrimp, Banks said. Hillebran was stopped by management and detained until officers arrived. Hillebran was jailed.
—Vernell Cain, 33, of Abbeville, was arrested at 10:54 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear for trial for no headlights, no tail lights, driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cain was arrested in Lafayette Parish on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. He was transferred to the Morgan City Jail with no bail set.
—Chris Pollard, 29, of Morgan City, was arrested at 11:51 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for possession of synthetic cannabinoids. Pollard was picked up after being released from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.
—Tyler Adams, 20, of Morgan City, was arrested at 4:01 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for probation violation. Adams was located in the City Court of Morgan City and jailed.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Fran M. Keller, 45, of Main Street in Patterson, was arrested at 4:37 p.m. Thursday for speeding 62 mph in a 25 mph zone, careless operation, disturbing the peace by language and two counts of resisting an officer. Keller was jailed on $1,174 bail.
—Arthur Gant, 55, of the 400 block of Cleveland Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. Thursday for theft by shoplifting. Gant was jailed on $427 bail.
—Jenny L. Rink, 26, of the 700 block of Onstead Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:34 p.m. Thursday for theft, possession of Schedule III narcotics without prescription and a warrant for other jurisdiction. Rink was jailed with no bail set yet.
—David Quebedaux Jr., 35, of the 200 block of Racetrack Lane in Rayne, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. today for speeding 75 mph in a 55 mph zone, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of Schedule II drugs hydrocodone and no driver’s license. He was jailed with no bail set yet.
—Chaz Hebert, 26, of the 2900 block of Coteau Holmes Street in St. Martinville, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. today for possession of synthetic cannabinoids and possession of Schedule II hydrocodone.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
