Arrests reports

A 24-year-old Morgan City man was charged with striking his girlfriend after he kicked in the door of a motel room where the woman and another man were engaging in prostitution, Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks said in a news release.
—Denzel Washington, 24, of Port Arthur, Texas, was arrested at 2:41 p.m. Thursday for domestic abuse battery, simple criminal damage to property, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and reckless operation of a vehicle.
—Tiara Rogers, 26, of Port Arthur, Texas, was arrested at 2:22 p.m. Thursday for prostitution.
—Pablo De La Cruz, 43, of Houston, Texas, was arrested at 2:22 p.m. Thursday for soliciting for prostitution.
Police were dispatched to a motel on La. 182 in regards to a disturbance. Rogers stated that her boyfriend had come to the location looking for her and when she did not answer the door, he kicked the door damaging it, Banks said.
Once her boyfriend, Washington, made entry into the room, he began to strike her, Banks said. Washington had left the area before officers arrived, but Rogers gave a description of the vehicle Washington was driving. When officers arrived, Rogers was in one of the rooms undressed with De La Cruz, Banks said.
Rogers admitted to officers that she was at the location to perform sexual acts for money and De La Cruz admitted to being at the location to pay the female for sexual acts, Banks said.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle Washington was driving in the area of Victor II Boulevard, Banks said.
The vehicle then began to travel at a high rate of speed on Victor II Boulevard to try and evade police, Banks said. Officers were able to get the vehicle to stop, and Washington was jailed. Rogers and De La Cruz were also jailed.
Banks reported the following arrests:
—Kedesha Scott, 19, of Franklin, was arrested at 2:20 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for three counts of failure to appear for theft, a warrant for simple criminal damage to property and a St. Mary Parrish Sheriff’s Office warrant.
Police were dispatched to a local motel on La. 182 in regards to a disturbance. Scott was identified as the one causing the disturbance, but had fled the area when officers arrived.
However, officers were able to make contact with Scott in the area of Victor II and Martin Luther King Jr. boulevards. Scott was jailed.
—Curtis Robinson, 44, of Morgan City, was arrested at 4:42 a.m. today for simple assault.
Police were dispatched to a residence on Railroad Avenue in regard to a disturbance. When officers arrived, the victim stated that Robinson threatened to hit her with a pipe, Banks said. She was able to leave the residence and call for police. Officers located Robinson in the area, and he was jailed.
—Geri Schahn, 22, of Morgan City, was arrested at 9:42 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear for license plate light required
While on patrol in the area of Second Street, police noticed Schahn and were aware of an outstanding warrant held on her for the Morgan City Police Department. Contact was made with Schahn. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.
—Nickolas Morris, 26, of Amelia, was arrested at 10:55 a.m. Thursday for driving under suspension, no insurance and window tint violation.
While on patrol in the area of Brashear and Federal avenues, police noticed a vehicle with dark tinted windows. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle. When officers came into contact with the driver, Morris, he was asked to produce a valid driver’s license.
Officers learned that Morris’ license was under suspension and his vehicle was not insured. Morris was jailed.
—Shanita Watts, 36, of Morgan City, was arrested at 5:08 p.m. Thursday for theft of goods.
Police were dispatched to a business on La. 182 in regards to a shoplifter. Witnesses stated that Watts had placed items in her purse without paying for them. When officers arrived, the items were located in Watts’ purse, Banks said. She was jailed.
—Rebecca Edwards, 32, of Morgan City, was arrested at 1:08 a.m. today for appearing in public intoxicated.
Police were dispatched to a local business in regards to a disturbance. Officers noticed Edwards appeared to be intoxicated and was yelling and using profanities. When asked by officers to lower her voice, she refused, Banks said. She was jailed.
—Breanna Davis, 21, of Morgan City, was arrested at 1:08 a.m. today for disturbing the peace and resisting an officer
Police were dispatched to a local business on La. 182 in regards to a fight. Davis was at the location yelling and using profanities. She was asked several times to lower her voice, but she did not comply. When officers tried to place Davis under arrest, she jerked away. Officers were able to subdue Davis and she was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 40 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Christian Butron-Gonzalez, 33, of the 100 block of Francis Street in Patterson, was arrested at 7:24 p.m. Thursday for domestic abuse battery (child endangerment). A deputy responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the Patterson area. The deputy learned that Butron-Gonzalez grabbed a female victim and pushed her into a counter top while yelling at her, Hebert said. The abuse took place in the presence of a minor, Hebert said. Butron-Gonzalez was jailed with no bail set.
—Adam Roy, 28, of the 700 block of Onstead Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:54 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Roy was transported from the Morgan City Police Department to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for housing. During booking, a deputy learned of the active warrant for his arrest.
—Jason M. Aucoin, 39, of the 100 block of Miller Lane in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 3:53 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy located Aucoin in Bayou Vista on the warrant. Aucoin was jailed with bail set at $31,612.01.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Aubrey Corsaro, 26, of the 1700 block of River Road in Berwick, was arrested at 6:08 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. Corsaro was released on bail.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest:
—Amanda Parker, 34, of River Road in Berwick, was arrested at 9:33 p.m. Thursday for driving while under the influence and obstruction of a passageway. Parker was jailed with no bail set yet.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
