Bayou Vista man arrested on drug charges

A 28-year-old Bayou Vista man was arrested on 13 charges after narcotics detectives found drug patches, marijuana and various pills inside his residence, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
Clifton James Lodrigue, 28, of the 1200 block of Columbus Avenue in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:37 p.m. Wednesday for possession of marijuana, possession of Schedule II (Fentanyl), possession of Schedule III (Subutex), possession of Schedule IV (Klonopin), possession of Schedule IV (Xanax), possession of Schedule IV (Valium), possession of Schedule IV (Soma), possession of drug paraphernalia, on a warrant for possession of Schedule III (Suboxen), possession of drug paraphernalia, on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and driving under suspension, on a warrant for failure to appear for off road vehicle on the roadway, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Stanozolol.
In addition to the drug charges, Lodrigue held active warrants for his arrest through the agency, Hebert said. He was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Billy Jack Hoffman, 26, of the 700 block of Leonard Street in Patterson, was arrested at 2:48 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear for probation review on the charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. After learning of the warrant for his arrest, Hoffman turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. He was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.
—Debora Martinez, 26, of Morgan City, was arrested at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Martinez was seen taking items and placing them in her purse. Martinez was taken to the parish jail and held. She was released on $1,000 bail.
Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrests:
—A 16-year-old male juvenile of Morgan City, was arrested at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday for theft of a motor vehicle, simple burglary, theft of a firearm, and theft.
On Tuesday, police began an investigation into a possible stolen vehicle that was involved in a traffic crash in Patterson. During the investigation, it was found that the vehicle was stolen from a local motel in the Morgan City area. Officers obtained information on the driver of the vehicle and submitted a warrant for his arrest. 
While obtaining the warrant Morgan City police detectives received information that a firearm and other items were stolen from the inside of the vehicle prior to the vehicle crashing. Detectives served a search warrant on the residence where the juvenile was living and located the stolen firearm and the other items that were missing from the vehicle. The juvenile was arrested and released pending juvenile court proceedings.
—Resa Boothe, 47, of Morgan City, was arrested at 10:13 a.m. Wednesday for appearing intoxicated in public and simple battery. 
Police were dispatched to a local motel for a disturbance. Upon arrival officers located and spoke to Boothe. It was determined that Boothe was involved in a verbal altercation with another patron at the hotel. Boothe appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage at the time of the complaint. Boothe and the other person involved were advised by officers to go inside for the night. 
A few minutes later, police received a second call to the same motel. Upon arrival it was found that Boothe exited her room again and went to the room of another patron and began to cause a disturbance, and committed a battery on the individual, Crouch said. Boothe was taken to Morgan City Police Department and held. 
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
