Bayou Vista man arrested for DWI, reckless operation, resisting by flight, domestic abuse battery

A 50-year-old Bayou Vista man was arrested Saturday on several charges after sheriff’s deputies received a report of a vehicle driving into oncoming lanes, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Gordon Tyrone Jr., 50, of the 1900 block of Saturn Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:49 p.m. Saturday for DWI, reckless operation, stop sign violation, resisting by flight, and on a probation warrant for domestic abuse battery. Deputies were dispatched to the area of U.S. 90 and Southeast Boulevard for a reckless driver in the area. A deputy located the vehicle on Southeast Boulevard on the median and driving into opposing lane several times and at one instance almost causing an accident. The vehicle was stopped and Tyrone was arrested after registering .18 grams-percent on the alcohol test, Hebert said. He was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set yet.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Rachel Simmons, 34, and Juan Torres, 36, of the 100 block of River View Drive in Patterson, were arrested at 8:28 p.m. Sunday for domestic abuse battery. Simmons was also charged with aggravated battery. Deputies responded to the residence in reference to a disturbance. Deputies arrived and during investigation learned that both subjects had been arguing and fighting for some time. Simmons had a knife at one point and cut Torres who sustained a minor injury, Hebert said. Both were taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set yet.
—Jerret Cortez, 25, of the 200 block of Vivian Street in Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested at 12:29 a.m. Saturday on La. 182 near Amelia, for driving while intoxicated, speeding and improper lane use. Cortez was observed driving across the center line then accelerated away from the officer. Cortez was stopped and observed to have been under the influence. He refused the intoxilyzer test, Hebert said. He was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set yet.
—Duke Guidroz, 27, of the 1100 block of Rene O. Guidry Street in Breaux Bridge, was arrested at 9:09 p.m. Friday for unauthorized use of a movable, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, careless operation and no driver’s license. A deputy was on a traffic stop on La. 182 and heard a vehicle peeling out from a gas station nearby then saw the vehicle almost hit a gas pump and crossing the center line in the roadway. 
The deputy stopped the suspect vehicle and detained the driver on La. 182 near Amelia. Guidroz could not produce a driver’s license. Deputy observed synthetic marijuana and marijuana cigarette. When trying to gather information about the vehicle, the driver would not produce any information. A little while later another person pulled up claiming the truck was his and that he was out looking for it. Duke had stolen the truck, Hebert said. Duke was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set yet.
—Timothy Byers, 48, of the 100 block of Venus Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 8:26 p.m. Saturday for two counts of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Byers had entered a residence he used to live at and was told to leave by the homeowner. He then went next door and opened the door to that residence and was told to leave then he went onto their backyard, Hebert said. Deputies were called and arrested Byers on Venus Street in Bayou Vista. He was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set yet.
—Kenny Clements, 21, of the 300 block of Eighth Street in Cut Off, was arrested at 12:27 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Lake Palourde Road in Amelia, for disturbing the peace intoxicated. Clements was observed on the Amelia Belle parking lot urinating and refusing to leave and was intoxicated. Deputies arrested Clements, and he was taken to the parish jail and held. Bail set at $500.
—Crystal Willoughby, 18, of the 4200 block of Francis Street in Berwick, was arrested at 4:26 p.m. Sunday in the Walmart parking lot in Bayou Vista, for disturbing the peace by fighting. Bail is set at $250.
—Kelly McMinn, 17, of the 100 block of Dottie’s Lane in Ricohoc, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. Sunday for disturbing the peace by fighting and simple battery in the Walmart parking lot in Bayou Vista. Bail is set at $750. Deputies responded to a complaint of a fight at the store. Both were taken to the parish jail and held. 
—Brennan Hamm, 26, of the 1500 block of Main Street in Patterson, was arrested at 8:41 a.m. Sunday for no vehicle registration, no proof of insurance, improper lane use, and possession of Alprazolam. Deputies were called about a vehicle being driven erratically. A deputy arrived at U.S. 90 and La. 317 and found the suspect vehicle travelling crossing the center line and fog line. The vehicle was then stopped and driver was questioned and gave consent to check the vehicle, Hebert said. He was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set yet.
—Robert Deville, 20, of the 5700 block of La. 14 in New Iberia, was arrested at 11:22 p.m. Sunday on La. 182 in Amelia for DWI, disturbing the peace, and possession of schedule IV drug (diazepam). Deputy was called to local fast food restaurant in Amelia where deputy found the suspect in vehicle. During the investigation, deputy learned that Deville had urinated in public and was intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and later had registered a .22 grams-percent on the intoxilyzer. During search of vehicle, deputy found some pills. Deville was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set yet.
—Destry Weber, 47, of Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:51 p.m. Sunday for disturbing the peace intoxicated. Deputy was called to the area of the Plantation Inn in Bayou Vista in reference to suspect on the street hollering and causing a disturbance. The deputy arrived and found the suspect still hollering and appeared to be intoxicated. Suspect was taken to the parish jail and held. Bail is set at $500.
—Jenny Rink, 25, of the 400 block of Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 11:43 p.m. Saturday for criminal mischief (filing false report). She was arrested at the St Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. The incident stems from Rink filing a false report on another individual because of an argument over some property. She was released on summons. 
—Tammy Partain, 36, of the 3100 block of Karen Drive in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:35 p.m. Friday for theft of goods at Walmart in Bayou Vista. She was observed taking items from the store without paying. She was issued a summons to appear in court. 
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Scott Carter, 30, of the 7500 block of Terri D. Road in New Iberia, was arrested at 1:55 p.m. Saturday for possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of resisting arrest, Iberia Parish warrants for failure to appear for failing to return leased movables and simple burglary, a St. Mary Parish warrant for aggravated burglary, and Louisiana State Police warrant for possession of methamphetamine. Carter was taken to Berwick Jail awaiting his first court appearance. No bail has been set yet. 
On Oct. 10, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into a report of a burglary at an industrial facility located off La. 317 in the Bayou Sale area. The victim encountered two male suspects on the property. One of the suspects engaged the victim resulting in a struggle before fleeing the business. Detectives developed information that led to the identification as Carter as a suspect involved in this crime, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said.
—Hannah Derouen, 27, of the 7500 block of Terri D. Road in New Iberia, was arrested at 1:12 p.m. Saturday for possession of methamphetamine, prohibited acts Schedule II, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Derouen is being held awaiting bail to be set.
—Dustin Blevins, 28, of the 400 block of Kirk Street in Delcambre, was arrested at 2:35 p.m. Saturday for possession of methamphetamine Schedule II, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Blevins was taken to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
—Gordon Tyrone Jr., 50, of the 1900 block of Saturn Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:13 p.m. Sunday for hit and run driving and careless operation. He was released on bail.
—Jose Trevino III, 23, of the 200 block of Trevino Street in Berwick, was arrested at 10:54 p.m. Sunday for possession of marijuana and license plate light required. Trevino was released on bail.
—James Voisin, 28, of the 400 block of Kyle Street in Berwick, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. today for simple criminal damage to property and released.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Jeremiah Wiltz, 26, of the 500 block of North University in Lafayette, was arrested at 3:13 p.m. Friday for simple battery involving domestic abuse. Wiltz was taken to jail with no bail set at this time.
—Paris A. Smith, 24, of the 1300 block of Ninth Street in Patterson, was arrested at 4:12 p.m. for simple battery involving domestic abuse. Smith is still being held with no bail set yet.
—Henry Rodriguez, 42, of the 600 block of Easy Street in Patterson, was arrested at 3:47 p.m. Saturday for a New Jersey warrant. Rodriguez was taken to jail and held with no bail set yet.
