Detectives find gunfire evidence in Bayou Vista, incident under investigation

St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office detectives found evidence of gunfire in Bayou Vista after receiving a report early Monday morning, but no injuries have been reported, according to a news release.
At 12:54 a.m. Monday, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office received a report of possible gunshots being heard in the area of South and Carol roads in Bayou Vista.
Deputies searched the area and located evidence of gunfire at a residence in the 1600 block of South Road. Detectives also responded to the scene and were investigating the incident Monday morning. No injuries were reported, the release said.
