Detectives trying to determine identity of theft suspect

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Division is seeking the public’s assistance in determining the identify of a female wanted in connection with a theft that occurred Jan. 18 at Walmart in Bayou Vista, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
According to store security, a female placed several “high dollar items” in a shopping cart before walking out of the store without paying for the goods. The stolen items include a vacuum cleaner, stand mixer, DVD players and blenders, Hebert said.
