Detectives trying to identify suspect in Bayou Vista Walmart theft

Authorities are seeking the identity of male subject seen on surveillance stealing over $1,300 from a cash register at Walmart in Bayou Vista, according to a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office news release.
On July 28, a deputy responded to a report of a theft at Walmart in Bayou Vista. The deputy collected video evidence of a male subject using a tool to break into a cash register in the automotive department inside the store at 8:30 pm. The suspect stole over $1,300 in cash from the register and then left the store, the release said.
