FPD arrests five in Iberia Street stop

Franklin police arrested five persons after stopping a vehicle on Iberia Street Wednesday.
Chief Sabria McGuire said officers stopped the vehicle just after 7 p.m. on information received regarding illegal narcotics.
Arrested were:
Dejuan Bais Jr., 21, of Cedar Street, Franklin, was charged with possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $2,000.
Charles Beverly, 61, of Weber Street, Franklin, was charged with possession of marijuana and a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a seatbelt violation. He was held on $2,100 total bond.
Jeremy Jennings, 19, of Augustine Maze Street, Franklin, was charged with second offense possession of marijuana. He was released on $3,500 bond.
Lee Butler, 45, of St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, was charged with possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $2,000.
Rodney Tillman Sr., 35, of Hamilton Street, Franklin, was charged with third offense possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.
