A 31-year-old Houma man was booked into the Morgan City Jail Friday morning for aggravated incest after he molested an 8-year-old girl on several occasions including one incident in Morgan City, Morgan City Police Travis Crouch said in a news release.

Randy Paul LeBlanc of Chateau Road in Houma, was arrested at 10:42 a.m. today on a warrant for aggravated incest.

On Thursday, Morgan City police received information in regard to a possible child molestation which may have occurred in the Morgan City area within the last several weeks, Crouch said.

Morgan City police detectives proceeded to the Houma Police Department to investigate. Morgan City police found out that Houma police received the information when a complainant alleged that LeBlanc was suspected of having sexual contact with an 8-year-old girl on several occasions, Crouch said.

One incident was alleged to have occurred while they were in Morgan City, Crouch said. Morgan City detectives questioned LeBlanc and as a result of the investigation, secured an arrest warrant for aggravated incest, he said.

LeBlanc was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Correctional Center, and then transferred to the Morgan City Jail with no bail yet set. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident or any other incident involving LeBlanc is asked to contact the Morgan City Police Department detectives’ division at 985-380-4605.
