Labadieville man arrested on drug charges

A 39-year-old Labadieville man was arrested Friday on drug charges after a search of residence in the 2700 block of La. 1, Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack said.
The search discovered drug paraphernalia, suspected cocaine and a pair of handguns, Waguespack said.
Jeffrey P. Bishop, of the 2700 block of La. 1, Labadieville, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center Friday for possession of drug paraphernalia, drug possession, illegal carrying of a weapon, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile and aggravated battery.
Bishop had not made a $155,000 bail as of Monday afternoon.
