Man arrested for killing in Assumption Parish
NAPOLEONVILLE --- A 30-year-old Napoleonville man was arrested on a first-degree murder warrant Saturday, Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack said in a news release.
Anthony Ayrow, 30, of the 100 block of Alvin Street,was arrested without incidence at his residence at about 1:30 a.m. by a parish SWAT team and detectives, the sheriff said.
The arrest is in connection with the murder of Gordon Jones Sr. on Jan. 2, Waguespack said.
Ayrow was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center for first degree murder, armed robbery with use of firearm and carrying of a firearm by a convicted felon, he said.
His bail has not been set and he is still in custody at this time.
This is an ongoing investigation and Detective Capt. Darren Crochet is the lead investigator on this case.
