Man found sleeping on couch charged with home invasion

A 31-year-old Berwick man was charged with home invasion this morning after another Berwick resident woke up to find the man sleeping on a couch at his home, Berwick Police Chief James Richard said.
Harold Sheets, 31, of Third Street in Berwick, was arrested at 2:57 a.m. today for possession of a legend drug, theft and home invasion.
The arrest stems from a complaint on Second Street of a resident being awakened by a noise to find Sheets sleeping on the couch of the residence, Richard said.
Sheets was accused of stealing medication from the residence, Richard said.
There was no altercation during the incident, Richard said.
Sheets was jailed awaiting bail to be set.
