Man pours detergent in Morgan City woman's hair, threatens to cut it

A 38-year-old Morgan City man was charged with simple battery after he allegedly approached a woman from behind and poured dishwashing detergent in her hair, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
Blair reported the following arrests:
—Tremayne A. Skinner, 38, of Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:22 a.m. Monday on the charges of simple battery, criminal trespass and resisting an officer by flight.
Officers were dispatched to a residence on Grove Street in regard to a woman having dishwashing detergent poured in her hair. Officers arrived and the victim stated that she was in her shed when a person approached her from behind, grabbed her and poured dishwashing detergent in her hair, Blair said.
He also stated that he wanted to wash and cut her hair, Blair said. She yelled at the suspect and he left the area, Blair said. Officers located a suspect in the area of Kidd Street and Federal Avenue. When officers approached, he began to run, but was subdued, a short time later.
The suspect, identified as Skinner, had dish washing detergent in his possession, Blair said. He was jailed.
—Wilmer Ruiz, 34, of Neptune Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 2:16 a.m. today on the charge of appearing in public intoxicated.
Officers were dispatched to a local business on La. 70 in regard to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. Officers located the vehicle and observed a suspect sleeping in the vehicle, Blair said.
The suspect, Ruiz, appeared intoxicated and officers noticed several open containers of alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle. Ruiz was jailed.
—Randy J. Jackson, 36, of Jennie Drive in Morgan City, was arrested at 6:30 a.m. today on warrants charging him with reckless operation, driving while intoxicated with an accident and seat belt violation.
Jackson was located at his home and placed under arrest for outstanding warrants, which stem from an incident in February in which Jackson was involved in a vehicle crash, Blair said.
According to police, Jackson was driving a vehicle that crashed into four other parked vehicles in the area of Roderick Street.
At the time of the crash, Jackson was transported to a hospital for possible injuries.
Blood samples were collected from Jackson and the results revealed 0.20 grams-percent of blood alcohol content, Blair said. Jackson was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Maurice Givens, 34, of the 400 block of Tiffany Street in Patterson, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. today on the charges of driving under suspension and lighted lamp required. A deputy assigned to patrol the Bayou Vista area observed a vehicle without a properly lit license plate light on Teche Road and conducted a traffic stop, Hebert said.
The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Givens, and learned that he was driving with a suspended license. The deputy released Givens on a summons to appear in court Sept. 16.
—Lynette Hatten, 34, of the 500 block of Tiffany Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. today on the charge of failure to yield to emergency vehicles and driving while intoxicated.
Deputies working on U.S. 90 in the Centerville area observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed despite the presence of flashing emergency vehicle lights on the roadway.
A deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Hatten. The deputy observed Hatten stumble as she exited the vehicle, the sheriff said.
The deputy conducted a field sobriety test on which Hatten performed poorly. Hatten later registered 0.14 grams-percent blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. A deputy transported Hatten to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
—Julio Villavicencio, 32, of the 100 block of Railroad Avenue in Gibson, was arrested at 3:27 a.m. today on the charge of second degree aggravated battery.
—Ruth Rivera-Rodriguez, 38, of the 100 block of Landry Court in Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested at 3:27 a.m. today for simple battery.
A deputy responded to a report of a cutting at a business on La. 182 in Amelia. During the investigation, the deputy learned that six suspects were engaged in an argument when Villavicencio produced a knife and cut a 29-year-old man on his arm and torso, Hebert said.
Also during the encounter, Rivera-Rodriguez struck a 34-year-old man, Hebert said. Both victims were transported to Teche Regional Medical Center. Villavicencio and Rivera-Rodriguez were located in a vehicle at the scene. Following the investigation, both were jailed with no bail set.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Joshuya Rebardi, 35, of Andras Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:44 a.m. Sunday on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. He posted $175 bail.
—Clarence Sheets Jr., 44, of Aucoin Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:44 a.m. Sunday on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting second offense. He posted $195 bail.
—Annie McIntyre, 31, of John Street in Berwick, was arrested at 11:43 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of speeding and on the charges of speeding 36 mph in a 20 mph zone, driving under suspension, possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription and no proof of insurance. She was jailed with no bail set yet.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—Jennifer R. Beecher, 30, of the 100 block of Beadle Street in Amelia, was arrested at 8:58 a.m. Sunday on the charges of speeding 70 mph in a 55 mph zone and possession of marijuana first offense. Beecher was released on $2,315 bail.
