Man on tricycle hit, suffered minor injuries

A 43-year-old Morgan City man on a tricycle was hit by a pickup truck Wednesday evening on Federal Avenue and sustained minor injuries.
Police received a call at 6:02 p.m. Wednesday reporting a crash involving a pickup truck and a tricycle with possible injuries, Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch said. A tricycle was found lying in the road when police arrived on Federal Avenue between Oil Tank Alley and Bowman Street, Crouch said.
Lawrence Francois, 43, of Morgan City, was found injured at the scene and was taken to Teche Regional Medical Center, Crouch said.
Francois was treated for minor injuries and released, Teche Regional Medical Center Spokeswoman Sabrina Roy said.
The crash is still under investigation and no citations have been issued yet, Crouch said.
