Morgan City man arrested on drug charge

Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrests:
—Ronald Lynelle Johnson, 50, of Ditch Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:48 p.m. Thursday for possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance-cocaine with the intent to distribute.
Detectives found a suspicious male identified as Johnson on 11th Street, who was found to possess two pieces of suspected crack cocaine, Crouch said. Johnson told officers the crack cocaine was for someone else, Crouch said. 
Johnson was taken to the police department where he remains with no bail yet set. 
—Mindy Ann Robichaux, 35, of Moon Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 11:53 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for telephone harassment.
Robichaux turned herself in to Morgan City police. She was taken to the City Jail and released after posting $692 bail.
—Donald L. Barrow, 34, of Canary Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:04 p.m. Thursday for disturbing the peace intoxicated.
Barrow appeared highly intoxicated at an Arizona Street residence, Crouch said. He was reported to have had an argument with a female at the residence, and he screamed profanities toward the residence, Crouch said. Barrow was taken to the police department where he remains in jail. 
—Darell Gash, 32, of Orange Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 4:57 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for possession of marijuana, a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant for unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling.
A patrolling officer located Gash on Federal Avenue in Morgan City and placed him under arrest for outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department based on an investigation of an unauthorized entry into an Orange Street residence which was reported on Sept. 2. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he remains on $22,000 bail.
—Dustin Joseph Ferguson, 21, of Levee Road in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:21 a.m. Wednesday on warrants for failure to pay fines for hit and run, careless operation, contempt of court, probation violation, warrant for probation violation and a warrant for probation violation for failure to report. 
Ferguson was located by officers at a residence located in the 500 block of Roderick Street and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. He was taken to the Morgan City Police Department where he remains. 
—Brittany Ann McCarter, 28, of Mission, Texas, was arrested at 4:32 p.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace and resisting an officer.
Officers were dispatched to a local motel in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and intervened in a disagreement between a male and female, McCarter. As officers were attempting to settle the dispute, McCarter became belligerent and began to cause a disturbance. She refused officers’ instructions to cease and was eventually placed under arrest. As officers attempted to place McCarter under arrest, she attempted to break free from officers and was subdued. She was taken to the Morgan City Police Department where she remains with a $784 bail.
—Gregory Irvin, 31, of Garber Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for Patterson Police Department for riding a vehicle off the roadway.
He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department and held.
—Katie L. Landry, 28, of Pierre Part, was arrested at 8:28 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for a seat belt violation, and a warrant for expired driver’s license.
While conducting an investigation in regards to a reckless driver on La. 182 in Morgan City, officers came into contact with Landry. It was discovered that Landry was wanted on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. She was taken to the police department and released after posting cash bail. 
—Andrew Jose Rodriquez, 27, of La. 182 in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to pay a fine for domestic battery.
Officers patrolling La. 182 in Morgan City located Rodriguez and discovered an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was taken to the Morgan City Police Department where he remains.
—Joshua Akiem Jones, 23, of Tiffany Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 11:53 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for Patterson Police Department for no license plate light.
Patrolling officers located Jones during a traffic stop near the area of the Greenwood Overpass. Jones was discovered to be wanted on the outstanding warrant. He was taken to the Morgan City Police Department and held. 
St. Mary Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Deven W. Vining, 20, of the 800 block of Red Cypress Road in Patterson, was arrested at 6:27 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy located Vining at his residence. He remained jailed this morning on $100,000 bail.
—Shane Paul Scully, 25, of Glenwood Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:51 a.m. Wednesday on warrants from St. Martin Parish for failure to appear on boating safety violations. A deputy located Scully at his residence. He later was transferred to another jurisdiction.
—Clarence Woods, 19, of the 400 block of Taft Street in Patterson, was arrested at 10:03 a.m. Wednesday on warrants from Lafayette for simple burglary. A deputy located Woods at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. He remained jailed this morning with no bail set.
—Angie Lafleur, 33, of the 100 block of Honey Lane in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:17 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with improper tail lights and operating a vehicle without proof of insurance. A deputy located Lafleur at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. She was released after posting a $334.50 bond.
—Juvenile male, 15, of Patterson, was arrested at 11:27 p.m. Wednesday for ungovernable juvenile and resisting an officer. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that the teen refused to go to school. Upon his arrest, the juvenile pulled away from a deputy. The juvenile was released to a guardian.
—Iris Martinez, 22, of the 800 block of Duval Street in Amelia, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday for theft of goods. A deputy responded to complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Store personnel said Martinez was seen taking items and concealing them in her purse before attempting to leave the store without paying. Martinez was released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 10.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—James Joseph Sr., 62, of the 2000 block of Burney Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday on Paradise Lane in Patterson for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and criminal damage to property. He remained jailed this morning with no bail set.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Chris Pittman, 26, of Sixth Street in Berwick, was arrested at 7:18 p.m. Thursday for disturbing the peace fourth offense. Pittman is being held on bail.
