Morgan City man charged for indecent behavior with juvenile

A 22-year-old Morgan City man was booked Sunday on the charge of indecent behavior with a juvenile after Franklin police arrested him on St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrants, Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire said in a news release.
—Wibray Dauntain, 22, of Freret Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:14 p.m. Sunday on warrants for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office charging him with indecent behavior with a juvenile, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, disturbing the peace fight-assault, and simple battery.
Dauntain was also arrested on 16th Judicial District Court warrants for failure to appear on the charges of simple battery, theft under $500 and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Dauntain was also arrested on the charge of possession of a legend drug without a prescription (Flexeril).
Officers observed Dauntain in the area of Second and Willow streets and had knowledge of active warrants for the sheriff’s office. Upon searching Dauntain, officers allegedly located the legend drug. Dauntain was jailed with no bail set.
McGuire reported the following arrest relating to east St. Mary Parish:
—Walter Howard, 29, of Williams Street in Patterson, was arrested at 7:52 p.m. Saturday on a 16th Judicial District Court warrant for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Howard was booked, processed, and released to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 119 complaints and reported the following arrests relating to east St. Mary Parish:
—Danny P. Dupuy, 37, of Julia Street in Amelia, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Friday on the charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives patrolling the Amelia area observed a male subject in a truck parked at the end of the road on Friendship Alley.
Detectives made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Dupuy. While speaking with Dupuy, detectives received consent to search him and located a bag of marijuana in his shirt pocket and a pack of cigars inside the vehicle. Dupuy was released on a summons to appear in court Sept. 15.
—Jessie Engleton Jr., 45, of Nicole Road in New Iberia, was arrested at 6:43 p.m. Friday on the charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer by flight, violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug-free zone), transactions involving drug proceeds, obstruction of justice, littering and possession of open alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles.
Narcotics detectives patrolling Berwick observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn onto California Street and initiated a traffic stop. When the vehicle stopped, the driver, identified as Engleton, exited the vehicle. While fleeing, Engleton threw an open container of beer to the ground. Detectives pursued Engleton on foot and observed him throw several bags of marijuana to the ground, Hebert said. Detectives apprehended Engleton and located plastic baggies on him as well as $265 in cash.
The bags of marijuana were recovered. During the investigation, which took place near a school, detectives found evidence that Engleton was selling the marijuana, Hebert said. Engleton was jailed with no bail set.
—Charles G. Sheehan, 54, of Carol Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 2:11 p.m. Friday on a warrant charging him with issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Sheehan at his residence on the warrant. Sheehan was released on a summons to appear in court Sept. 15.
—Kyle Deroche, 28, of North Villa Oaks Drive in The Woodlands, Texas, was arrested at 2:52 a.m. Saturday on the charge of criminal damage to property. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in progress at a business on U.S. 90 in Berwick. During the investigation, the deputy found evidence that Deroche damaged a wall and a door at the business. Deroche was booked into parish jail and released on $250 bail.
—Freddy Borne, 38, of Prairie Road North in Franklin, was arrested at 9:38 a.m. Saturday on a warrant from the City Court of Morgan City on the charge of theft. A deputy located Borne at his home on the warrant. Borne was booked into parish jail and later transferred to the Morgan City Police Department jail.
—Melissa A. Aucoin, 40, of Joey Street in Patterson, was arrested at 5:15 p.m. Thursday on the charge of possession of marijuana. Narcotics detectives, conducting an investigation at a business in Morgan City, located marijuana cigarettes and collected evidence that the illegal drugs belonged to Aucoin, Hebert said. Aucoin was released on a summons to appear in court Sept. 15.
—Jason M. Thompson, 52, of Tiffany Street in Patterson, was arrested at 8:24 p.m. Thursday on a warrant charging him with criminal damage to property. Narcotics detectives located Thompson at his home on the warrant. The warrant was the result of an investigation into property damage. The detective collected evidence that Thompson removed no trespassing signs from private property. Thompson was booked into parish jail and released on a summons to appear in court Sept. 15.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrests:
—Larry Kyle, 63, of Aucoin Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:46 p.m. Friday on the charge of disturbing the peace.
—Brittney N. Plummer, 27, of Aucoin Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:46 p.m. Friday on the charge of disturbing the peace.
—Paula G. Kyle, 60, of Aucoin Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:48 p.m. Friday on the charge of disturbing the peace.
Officers responded to an address on Aucoin Street in regard to a reported disturbance. Police arrived and located three subjects who were allegedly involved in the disturbance identified as Larry Kyle, Paula Kyle and Plummer. Several people witnessed Larry Kyle, Paula Kyle and Plummer involved in an argument outside a home, each using offensive profane language, Blair said. Larry Kyle, Paula Kyle and Plummer were jailed.
—Freddy Borne, 38, of Prairie Road in Centerville, was arrested at 4:15 p.m. Saturday on a warrant charging him with theft less than $750.
Borne was transported from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office jail to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to a city court warrant. Borne was jailed.
—Jimmie Durden, 35, of Oak Forest Drive in Gibson, was arrested at 2:16 a.m. Sunday on the charge of disturbing the peace.
Officers responded to a medical facility on Marguerite Street in regard to a man causing a disturbance inside. The officers arrived and located Durden, who matched the description provided. Officers learned that Durden had allegedly become angry and was raising his voice causing a disturbance inside the facility. Durden was jailed.
—Jannell Robinson, 32, of Chennault Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:43 a.m. Sunday on the charges of window tint violation, driving under suspension and on a warrant for failure to appear on traffic charges.
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard with front window tint that appeared to be illegal. The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Robinson, who had a suspended driver’s license. Robinson was jailed.
—Jeff E. Verret, 32, of Sterling Road in Houma, was arrested at 4:12 p.m. Sunday on the charge of urinating in public.
Officers responded to an area in Lake End Park in regard to a report of a man urinating in public. Police located Verret, who matched the description provided. Several witnesses identified Verret as the person allegedly urinating near a parked vehicle. Verret was jailed.
—Danny Williams, 45, of Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:55 a.m. today on the charge of entering or remaining in places after being forbidden.
An officer responded to a local convenience store on La. 182 in regard to a call to remove a subject from the property. The officer located Williams, who matched the description provided. Police learned that Williams had been barred from the business property due to a previous incident and was instructed not to return. Williams was jailed.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Douglas P. Dickerson, 52, of Dangerfield Street in Patterson, was arrested at 6:40 p.m. Saturday on the charge of disturbing the peace-language. Dickerson was jailed on $327 bail.
—Carl Duronslet, 46, of Hebert Street in New Iberia, was arrested at 8:35 p.m. Saturday on the charges of DWI second offense by refusal, driving under suspension and disturbing the peace intoxicated.
—Paige Klein, 22, of David Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 1:24 a.m. today on the charges of possession of marijuana-first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. Klein was jailed on $3,500 bail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Pelicia Miller, 31, of Canal Boulevard in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:13 p.m. Friday on the charge of possession of Adderall. No bail is set.
—Christopher Landry, 38, of Francis Street in Berwick, was arrested at 11:36 p.m. Saturday on the charges of battery of a police officer, resisting an officer with force or violence. No bail is set.
—Michael Hartfield, 51, of Chris Lane in Centerville, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. today on the charges of possession of hydrocodone, possession of marijuana second offense and obstruction of justice. No bail is set.
