Morgan City man sought by police

Police are seeking a 36-year-old Morgan City man wanted for a rape that was reported this month, Morgan City Police spokesman Lt. James Blair said in a news release.
Lawrence Lynel Blackburn, whose last known address is in the 1100 block of Grace Street in Morgan City, is wanted for simple rape. Blackburn is also known as "Kojak," Blair said.
Blackburn has numerous arrests and has a history of using violence and threats, Blair said. If located, contact 911, the Morgan City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, or a local law enforcement agency, he said.
