Most Wanted suspect in custody

A 35-year-old Morgan City man who was on The Daily Review’s Most Wanted for aggravated burglary is being held in Terrebonne Parish for aggravated assault with a firearm, Morgan City Police spokesman Capt. James Blair said this morning.
Anthony Ruffin, 35, of Morgan City, was arrested Nov. 17 in Terrebonne Parish for aggravated assault with a firearm, Blair said. Ruffin was wanted by Morgan City police on a warrant for aggravated burglary.
On Nov. 5, police were dispatched to Mallard Street in Morgan City regarding a person that had made entry into an apartment on Mallard Street where Ruffin and the occupant became involved in a physical altercation, police said. Upon leaving the residence, Ruffin stole the victim’s cell phone, police said. The victim positively identified Ruffin as the suspect, police said.
Morgan City police have a hold on Ruffin, who is incarcerated at the Terrebonne Parish correctional facility, Blair said.
