Pierre Part teens steal funeral home limo

Two Pierre Part teens stole a limousine from a funeral home near Napoleonville and drove it home, police said.
St. Martin Sheriff Mike Waguespack said Trey Hebert, 18, and Brandon Morris, 17, were arrested Monday after his department received a call that a white limo had pulled out in front of a vehicle, nearly running it off the road and then turned its lights off.
Deputies located the vehicle on James Street in Pierre Part around 8 a.m. Monday. It was determined that the limousine belonged to Williams and Southall Funeral Home near Napoleonville and that no one had permission to use or take the vehicle.
Hebert and Morris, both of the 100 block of David Street in Pierre Part, were taken to Assumption Community Hospital in Napoleonville by Acadian Ambulance earlier that morning because one of them had been in an altercation and required stitches, Waguespack said.
With no ride home, they hitchhiked their way home. Upon finding the limousine and its keys inside, they stole it and drove back to Pierre Part, parking the car at the end of James Street, the sheriff said.
The pair was booked into Assumption Parish Detention Center each on charges of felony theft of a motor vehicle. They remained jailed this morning with no bail set.
