Police Reports 12-19-14

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Elbert Cannon Jr., 49, of Eunice, was arrested Thursday at 7:19 a.m. on a charge of simple assault. He was released on a summons.
Deidra James, 37, of 611 Duke St., Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 10:12 a.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks and was released on a summons.
Daniel L. Robertson Sr., 29, of 258 Jones Road No. 1, Jeanerette, was arrested Thursday at 12:43 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of improper child restraint, expired inspection sticker and suspended license. No bond was set.
Damenn Engleton, 25, of Morgan City, was charged Thursday at 4:36 p.m. with simple battery and battery of a correctional officer. Also charged was Paul Charles, 33, of Morgan City, with simple assault. Both remained incarcerated.
Gary Polk, 66, of 1245 Delmar Avenue, Bayou Vista, was arrested Thursday at 6:48 p.m. on a charge of simple battery and a Caldwell Parish failure to appear warrant on a charge of DWI. No bond was set.
Kane Thomas, 26, of 2029 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, was arrested today at 2:53 a.m. on charges of open alcohol container, driving under suspension and no license plate light. He was released on a summons.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Taylor Darden, 20, of La. 182, Jeanerette, Thursday at 3:43 p.m. on a Third Ward Court failure to appear warrant on a charge of DWI. No bond was set.
