Police Reports 2-23-15

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Jeremiah Penns, 38, of Anderson Street, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 3:24 p.m. on a charge of second degree battery. No bond was set.
De’vontrius Perro, 17, of Third Street, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 8:55 p.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace and was released on $250 bond.
Jamarlon Smith, 18, of Pine Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 1:09 a.m. by the sherff’s office on city warrants charging him with simple battery and disturbing the peace, and a Third Ward Court failure to appear warrant on charges of no driver’s license and defective lights. He was released on $1,000 bond.
Daniel Colbert, 20, of Cypremort Road, Baldwin, was arrested Saturday at 8:43 p.m. on a Third Ward Court failure to appear warrant on a charge of no driver’s license and held on $366 bond.
Sonja Henry, 40, of Robertson Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 10:04 a.m. on a district court failure to appear warrant on a charge of issuing worthless checks and released on $1,000 bond.
Melvin Davis, 63, of Thomas Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 10:27 p.m. on charges of DWI and reckless operation and was held with no bond set.
Chitimacha Police Chief Blaise Smith reported the arrest of Luis Reynosa, 19, of New Iberia, Saturday at 9:30 p.m. on a charge of criminal trespassing. Reynosa was released on a summons.
