Police Reports 2-26-16
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests this morning:
Sedrick Rudolph, 31, of Gum Point Lane, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 9:20 a.m. on a charge of theft by shoplifting. He was held on $1,000 bond.
Andronique Lemons, 35, of Main Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 2:41 p.m. on a charge of theft of goods. She was released on $1,000 bond.
Zedric Davis, 22, of Mechanic Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 6:22 p.m. on a sheriff’s department warrant charging him with simple battery and held on $500 bond.
Milton Green, 30, of Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 11:41 p.m. on a charge of simple arson. Officers were dispatched to Willow Street in reference to items being on fire. Upon officers’ arrival, clothing was seen to be on fire on the sidewalk. The flames were extinguished. After further investigation, it was reportedly learned that Green set the clothes on fire. No bond was set.
Jumichael Smith, 37, of Sixth Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 9:25 p.m. on a warrant charging him with second degree battery with medical attention. In October, officers received a call about a subject at the hospital stating she got into a fight with Smith. She stated Smith hit her in the face causing her nose to bleed and giving her a black eye. An officer made contact with Smith Thursday walking down Willow Street with a hoodie over his head blocking his face. Upon making contact with the suspect, the suspect reportedly gave a false name. The suspect’s real name was then learned, and it was found that he held an active warrant for his arrest. While leaving the scene, Smith reportedly made threatening comments towards officers. Smith was additionally charged with resisting an officer by false information and simple assault on a police officer. No bond was set.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported that Narcotics Division agents arrested Chucky J. Verdun, 64, of 210 Cleveland St., Patterson, Thursday at 1:57 on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a charge of criminal neglect of family.
Lavern P. Verdun, 50, also of 210 Cleveland St., Patterson, was also charged with a failure to appear warrant on a charge of second offense DWI.
Detectives conducting an investigation on Kemper Street in Patterson reportedly made contact with C. Verdun and L. Verdun and located the active warrants for their arrest. Both subjects were transported to parish jail for booking. Bail for C. Verdun is set at $5,938. No bail is set for L. Verdun.
Hebert also reported the arrests of Edward J. Badeaux, 22, of Jeanerette, Thursday at 6:25 a.m. on a charge of hit and run driving. He was released on a summons.
Bryan K. Sisk, 30, of 3580 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, was arrested Thursday at 11:29 a.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of criminal neglect of family and held on $20,128 bond.
Justin Bergeron, 25, of Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Thursday at 4:28 p.m. on charges of two counts of monetary instrument abuse and held with no bond set.
Quincy P. Cole, 22, of St. Martinville, was arrested Thursday at 3:09 p.m. on a St. Martin Parish warrant charging him with failure to appear on charges of driving under suspension and failure to signal. He was released on $3,000 bond.
Shane Suire, 20, of 1029 Susan Court, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 2:15 p.m. on charges of careless operation and no driver’s license on person and was released on a summons.
Christopher L. Haynes, 33, of 101 Willow Bend, Patterson, was arrested Thursday at 5:04 p.m. on three counts of domestic abuse battery-child endangerment. No bond was set.
