Police Reports 2-27-2015
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Needrom Bernard, 30, of 133 Jena St. Charenton, was arrested Thursday at 9:26 a.m. on a warrant charging him with domestic abuse battery-strangulation. No bond was set.
Jonathan King, 34, of Thibodaux, was arrested Thursday at 1:53 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of criminal mischief. No bond was set.
Angela Louviere, 32, of 8801 La. 182, Centerville, was arrested Thursday at 3:04 p.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons.
Dustin Macaluso, 32, of 285 Cane Road, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 9:31 p.m. on a charge of telephone harassment and released on a summons.
Narcotics Division agents arrested Bernard Charles Jr., 25, of 429 Big Four Corners Road, Jeanerette, Thursday at 6:24 p.m. on charges of failure to signal, no driver’s license, reckless operation, criminal damage to property, flight from an officer, resisting an officer, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine, open alcohol container and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division reportedly observed the driver of a vehicle fail to signal when making a turn onto the frontage road. A traffic stop was initiated, but the driver reportedly sped away from detectives and a pursuit ensued. The driver, identified by sheriff’s officials as Charles, drove his vehicle through a yard causing damage in his attempt to flee. He later abandoned the vehicle and ran away on foot. Charles was detained a short time later but reportedly continued to resist arrest. No bond is set.
