Police Reports 3-31-15

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
A juvenile female, 14, of Patterson, was arrested Monday at 12:30 p.m. on charges of battery on a teacher and battery on a police officer. She was released to guardians pending juvenile court.
Benjamin M. Decuir, 36, of New Iberia, was arrested Monday at 5:29 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of direct contempt of court, speeding and failure to honor written promise to appear. He was released on $350 bond.
A juvenile female, 12, of Patterson, was arrested Monday at 6:59 p.m. on charges of simple battery, disturbing the peace by fighting, criminal trespassing and being ungovernable. She was released to guardians pending juvenile court.
Perry J. Ourso, 55, of 529 Teche Road, Morgan City, was arrested today at midnight on charges of theft by shoplifting and trespassing. He was held on $2,000 bond.
Jenny K. Landry, 57, of 529 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested today at midnight on a charge of theft by shoplifting and was held on $1,000 bond.
Narcotics Division agents arrested Dana Cross, 23, of 1712 Harry D. St., Patterson, Monday at 8:23 a.m. on a warrant charging him with illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. No bond was set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Dominick Jackson, 26, of Norman Bauer Drive, Franklin, Monday at 4:30 p.m. on charges of domestic abuse battery, remaining where forbidden, resisting an officer and simple assault. No bond was set.
Investigators with the Franklin Police Department Criminal Investigation Division Technology Unit, with assistance from the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office and Berwick Police Department, arrested Dustin Thibodeaux, 24, of 102 Upperline St., Franklin.
McGuire reported that detectives were conducting a narcotics investigation and allegedly located evidence indicating that the suspect was engaged in lewd and lascivious behavior with a juvenile victim, age 15, resulting in arrest warrants being issued.
Thibodeaux was charged with 61 counts of possession of pornography involving a juvenile; possession with intent to distribute pornography involving a juvenile; computer-aided solicitation of a minor for sexual purposes; and indecent behavior with a juvenile. No bond was set.
McGuire reminded all parents to be aware and mindful of the dangers involving minors online and strongly urged parents to notify their local law enforcement agency if they suspect any illegal activity involving minors online.
