Police Reports 5-13-15

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests during the past 24-hour reporting period:
Leslie Matthews, 40, of 178 Friendship Alley, Amelia, was arrested Tuesday at 4:01 p.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks and four warrants for failure to appear for drug court status conferences. Bond had not been set as of this morning.
Ben Box, 25, of 109 Kaleb Lane, Centerville, was arrested Tuesday at 6:46 p.m. on a warrant charging him with felony theft and felony illegal possession of stolen things. The warrants are the result of an investigation into a report of a theft from two businesses in Centerville that occurred in March. The detective assigned to the case learned that several items including marine radios were stolen from two workboats. The stolen property totaled over $6,000 in value. During the course of the investigation, the detective received information that Box allegedly attempted to sell items matching the description of the stolen property at a local pawn shop. The marine radios and some of the other items have been returned to the owners. Bond had not been set as of this morning.
Jason Gaskins, 32, of 129 Friendship Alley, Amelia, was arrested Tuesday at 6:48 p.m. on warrants for failure to appear on charge of domestic battery and aggravated assault. Bond had not been set as of this morning.
Andrea Wilson, 29, of 137 Friendship Alley, Amelia, was arrested Tuesday at 9:14 p.m. on two Morgan City Court warrants for failure to appear on charges of disturbing the peace and contempt of court. Bond had not been set as of this morning.
Jason Carvalho, 38, of 154 Migues Lane, Jeanerette, was arrested today at 1:42 a.m. on warrants for failure to appear on charges of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, domestic abuse battery, simple criminal damage to property, violation of protective orders, domestic battery and simple criminal damage to property. A bounty hunter surrendered Carvalho to deputies at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Bond had not been set as of this morning.
Jonathan Ruffin, 28, of 1414 James St., Siracusaville, was arrested Tuesday at 6:47 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, violation of a controlled dangerous substance law in a drug-free zone and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of juveniles. The arrest was made after narcotics agents conducted a search warrant at Ruffin’s residence. Bond had not been set as of this morning.
Davida Bias, 31, of 1140 Grace St. Amelia, was arrested Tuesday at 6:47 p.m. on a charge of remaining where forbidden in connection with the Ruffin investigation. Bias was later released on a summons.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Lisa Moss, 46, of Robert Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. on warrants charging her with domestic battery- obscenity and disturbing the peace. The arrest stems from an incident on May 10, in which Moss was allegedly running naked in and out of the residence while engaged in an altercation with Donald Welch. Welch was arrested at that time on charges of domestic battery and disturbing the peace while Moss received medical treatment. Her bond had not been set as of this morning.
Steve Williams, 38, of Cypress Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 10:26 p.m. on a warrant charging him with simple assault. He was released after posting a $250 bond.
