Police Reports 6-3-16
Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrests:
Lorrie Verret, 35, of Tunica Street, Charenton, was arrested Thursday and charged with domestic abuse battery and was incarcerated at the parish jail.
Needron Bernard, 31, of Tunica Street, Charenton, was arrested Thursday and charged with domestic abuse battery and was incarcerated at the parish jail.
Marlon Cardona-Lopez, 20, of Scott, was arrested Thursday and charged with unlawful playing of gaming devices by person under 21 and released on a summons.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Mark Boudreaux, 57, of Cypress Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 10:31 a.m. and charged with open burning. Boudreaux was processed and released on a $500 bond.
Tydrick Burrell, 20, of Ninth Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 1:44 p.m. when he turned himself into the Franklin Police Department on th e charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. Burrell was processed and released on a $500 bond.
Charles Beverly Sr., 63, of Iberia St., Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 9:10 p.m. for the charge of possession of Schedule I narcotics (marijuana)-first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia-first offense. Beverly was processed and held on a $3,500 bond.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests from the Uniformed Patrol Division:
Nicholas Laue, 27, of 1540 Hickory St., Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 7:41 a.m. and charged for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and speeding. No bail was set.
Christine N. Cantrell, 28, of 1102 Fourth St., Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 1:42 p.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Bail was set at $100,000.
Carl J. Halvorson, 44, of St. Amant, was arrested Thursday at 3:42 p.m. and charged for failure to appear on the charges of failure to obey traffic control signals, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license and operating a vehicle not covered by security. Halvorson was also charged on two warrants for domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse battery (strangulation). No bail was set.
Scotty Pellerin, 35, of New Iberia, was arrested Thursday at 8:55 a.m. and charged on a warrant for reckless operation of a vehicle. No bail was set.
Dzu Hoang, 38, of 705 Magnolia St., Amelia, was arrested Thursday at 9:09 p.m. and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. No bail was set.
Kentrell Diggs, 23, of 428 Lagonda Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Thursday at 9:07 p.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, failure to use seatbelts, operating a vehicle without a license and failure to honor written promise to appear. No bail was set.
