Police Reports 7-7-15

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Devon B. Goulas, 26, of Cameron, was arrested Monday at 6:53 a.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of criminal neglect of family. No bond was set.
Jessie J. Thibeaux Sr., 30, of St. Martinville, was arrested Monday at 8:30 a.m. on a St. Martin Parish failure to appear warrant on charges of contempt of court, no insurance, no child restraint and driving under suspension. No bond was set.
Isaac Joseph Jr., 48, of 3466 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, was arrested Monday at 11:40 a.m. on a charge of illegal possession of stolen things and released on $5,000 bond.
Abriahn Baker, 18, of 1703 Guyther St., Patterson, was arrested Monday at 6:59 p.m. on a charge of aggravated battery and held with no bond set.
Narcotics Division agents arrested Quinton J. Jones, 24, of 117 Friendship Alley, Amelia, Monday at 8:16 p.m. on a warrant charging him with distribution of cocaine. No bond was set.
Earl Vanacor, 48, of Des Allemands, was arrested Monday at 7:55 p.m. on a charge of possession of marijuana and released on a summons.
Anna Reed, 22, of 1900 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Monday at 8:59 p.m. on a charge of possession of marijuana and released on a summons.
Brigg Norris, 21, of 221 Chennault St., Morgan City, was arrested Monday at 7:03 p.m. on charges of possession of synthetic marijuana and possession in the presence of a juvenile. No bond was set.
Christian Businelle, 18, of 733 Versen Lane, Berwick, was arrested Monday at 10:12 p.m. on the following charges.
—Possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute
—Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
—Possession of drug paraphernalia
—Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
—Transaction involving drug proceeds
—Violation of a drug free zone
—Possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number or mark
—Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Narcotics detectives and with the Morgan City Police Department conducted a traffic stop on La. 70 and made contact with a passenger in the vehicle identified as Businelle. Detectives reportedly received consent to search the vehicle and located a black bag that reportedly contained bags of synthetic cannabinoids, a bag of marijuana, a digital scale, rolling papers, and a .22 caliber revolver with an obliterated serial number. The illegal items were found on the passenger seat floor board where Businelle was sitting. Several .22 caliber rounds were also located inside the glove box. Detectives reportedly received consent to search Businelle’s person and located more than $200 in cash and a pair of brass knuckles. The traffic stop investigation occurred near Morgan City Junior High School. Continuing the investigation into illegal drug activity, detectives reportedly received consent to search Businelle’s bedroom at his residence on Versen Lane and located another bag of synthetic cannabinoids. The total estimated street value of the illegal drugs is approximately $2,000. Detectives also reportedly learned that Businelle is a convicted felon. No bond was set.
Chitimacha Chief of Police Hal Hutchinson reported the arrest of Jabriya Washington, 17, of New Iberia, Saturday on a charge of theft of goods. Washington was released on a summons.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Joseph Nedd, 50, of Martin Luther King Boulevard, Franklin, on charges of resisting an officer by force, remaining where forbidden, misrepresentation during booking, filing a false report, disturbing the peace and battery on an officer. No bond was set.
