Police Reports 8-1-14

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Jean J. Grosselle, 65, of New Iberia, was arrested Thursday at 12:25 p.m. on a charge of aggravated assault after reportedly brandishing a handgun at another driver in the Garden City area. He was released on $750 bond.
Scott Boudreaux, 43, of 601 Renwick Blvd., Berwick, and Shelia Stewart, 39, of 404 Henry St., Patterson, were arrested today at 2:47 a.m. on charges of sexual acts in public. Both were released on summons.
Narcotics Division agents arrested Nicole Lanclos, 32, of 807 Iberia St., Franklin, Thursday at 6:32 p.m. on a charge of keeping a disorderly place.
Also arrested was Jude Franklin, 36, same address and time, on charges of possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of MDMA, violation of a drug free zone, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor, resisting an officer, obstruction of justice, transactions involving drug proceeds and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives conducted a search warrant at 807 Iberia St., No. 12 in Franklin. When detectives made entry into the residence, Franklin reportedly ran from detectives and attempted to flush narcotics down the toilet. Detectives retrieved the items. During the course of the search, they reportedly located heroin, ecstasy, plastic baggies and straws inside the residence. Detectives also located $660 in cash which was seized pending forfeiture. Detectives believe the money was derived from illegal drug activity. Two 11-year-olds, a boy and a girl, were also in the home at the time of the investigation. Lanclos was later released on a $250 bond. No bail is set for Franklin.
Tarell Boulanger, 23, of 1214 Hickory St., Patterson, was arrested Thursday at 7:24 p.m. on charges of possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of a drug free zone, flight from an officer, criminal trespassing, disturbing the peace and possession of a counterfeit controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.
Also arrested was Jeremy Hall, 24, of 132 Cherry St., Patterson, on charges of driving in the left lane, no driver’s license, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, disturbing the peace, resisting an officer by flight, possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a counterfeit controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, no seat belt, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, violation of a drug free zone, hit and run, criminal trespassing, warrants charging him with failure to appear on drug charges, probation violation and resisting an officer by flight.
Narcotics detectives initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for impeding the flow of traffic by driving in the left lane for several miles on U.S. 90 in the Patterson area. The driver of the reportedly vehicle failed to pull over and accelerated to a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle as he attempted to turn onto Zenor Road and struck a stop sign. Before the vehicle came to a complete stop, detectives observed three occupants exit the vehicle and flee on foot. After a short foot pursuit, detectives caught the front passenger, identified as Boulanger. Detectives reportedly observed Hall run into a house alarming the residents of the home. Shortly after, Hall was detained and placed under arrest. During the foot chase, Hall and Boulanger ran through several yards where children were playing. As the investigation progressed, detectives located several bags of synthetic cannabinoids packaged for sale in the vehicle as well as a bottle containing counterfeit synthetic cannabinoids and a pack of plastic baggies. Hall and Boulanger were transported to the parish jail. No bails are set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Joshua Norris, 22, of Myra Street, Franklin, Thursday at 8:20 p.m. on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, failure to signal, open container, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug free zone, public intimidation of an officer, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, no seat belt and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.
Ayla Hurt, 22, of Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 8:20 p.m. on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and was held on $1,500 bond.
Chitimacha Police Chief Blaise Smith reported the arrest of Kerdern Martin, 27, of Charenton, Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on a charge of simple assault. No bond was set.
