Police Reports 8-18-14

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Brett Gaspard, 24, of Baker Road, Franklin, Saturday at 10:26 p.m. on charges of driving under the influence and third offense possession of synthetic marijuana. Bond had not been set as of this morning.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Steven Greer, 37, of 6694 La. 182, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 2:34 p.m. on a warrant charging him with domestic battery. He was released on a $3,500 bond.
Joseph H. Gilchrist Jr., 22, of 1317 Tarlton St., Jeanerette, was arrested on Friday at 3:17 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of disturbing the peace intoxicated. Bail is set at $5,000.
Friday at 3:27 p.m., the following offenders incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center were charged with second degree battery: Ryan Carr, 23, Baldwin; Jameon Jack, 32, Franklin; Darius Jackson, 25, Franklin; Spencer Bourda, 23, Franklin; Ezekiel Anderson, 22, Franklin; Quintal Davis, 34, Morgan City; Jonathan Robinson, 34, Franklin.
The individuals were charged after deputies responded to a disturbance Thursday in one of the dorms and discovered. a 46-year-old male with injuries to his head and face. He was treated at Franklin Foundation Hospital for his injuries. During the subsequent investigation, deputies determined the offenders listed above struck the victim in the head and face.
Katy L. Ghirardi, 21, of 271 Grandwood Drive, Apt. 2, Patterson, was arrested Friday at 8:49 p.m. on a warrant for theft of goods. She was released on a summons.
Dwaine Raymond, 48, and Randy Dewitt, 21, both of 124 Keller’s Lane, Verdunville, were arrested Saturday at 6:24 p.m. on charges of disturbing the peace by fighting. Both were later released on a $500 bonds.
Justin Bourgeois, 41, of 234A Main St., Patterson, was arrested Saturday at 8:56 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of simple battery. He was later released on a $3,000 bond.
Courtney Saujon, 31, of 511A Signe Lane, Patterson, was arrested Sunday at 11:27 a.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of improper turning and failure to honor written promise to appear. Saujon was released on a $319.50 bail.
Jaclyn G. Rodriguez, 25, of 1838 La. 83, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 9:29 p.m. on a Lafayette Parish warrant for failure to appear on a charge of speeding. No bail is set.
