Police Reports 8-5-16

Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrests:
Crystal Phillips, 32, of Lafayette, was arrested Wednesday and charged with theft, possession of stolen property, no insurance, failure to carry vehicle registration and driver must be licensed. She was also arrested on two New Iberia City Court Warrants for failure to appear for no seat belt, no child restraint, following too close, failure to carry title/registration, no child restraint, no insurance and driving under suspension. The second warrant is for failure to appear for aggravated assault and attempted criminal damage. She was transported to the parish jail.
James Bellard, 27, of New Iberia, was arrested Wednesday and charged with theft and possession of stolen property and was released on a summons.
Chelsey Cook, 29, of Coushatta Street, Charenton, was arrested Wednesday and charged for an Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office Warrant for expired motor vehicle inspection, operating a motor vehicle not covered by security, and improper use of registration/license plate/license. She was transported to the parish jail.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrest:
Larry Barnett, 37, of 1221 Sixth St., Apt. 2, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 2:31 p.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $14,671.
