Police: Vehicle crashed into ‘Cash Cow’ Tuesday

A woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday after she crashed the vehicle she was driving into a business on La. 182 in Morgan City, according to police.
Toxicology results are pending to determine whether the driver, Leah Lipari of Morgan City, was intoxicated or had a medical condition that caused her to lose control of the vehicle, Morgan City Police Capt. Betty Augman said.
Lipari has not been charged or cited yet in the crash, Augman said.
At about 7 p.m. Tuesday, Lipari was traveling east on La. 182 when she veered off the road crashing into the Cash Cow building on La. 182 near Justa Street, Augman said.
Lipari was transported to the hospital, and police were unsure of what injuries she may have suffered, Augman said.
No one else was injured in the incident, Augman said.
The investigation is ongoing, Augman said.
