Residence hit with bullets this morning during shooting

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at Brownell Homes early this morning during which several rounds struck a residence, according to a Morgan City police news release.
At 4:10 a.m. today, Morgan City police responded to a complaint of shots being fired in the Brownell Homes area, the release stated. Officers responded and discovered evidence that several shots had been fired near a residence with several rounds striking the residence, the release stated.
There were no injuries in the incident nor were there any descriptions of a possible suspect or suspects, the news release said. Police are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information on this incident or any other crime to contact the Morgan City Police Department Detective Division at 985-380-4605.
