Sheriff: Man accused of entering home, smashing possessions

A 35-year-old Bayou L’Ourse man was charged Saturday after being accused of going into the home of someone he knew, without permission, and breaking things inside the residence, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Jeremy Bobbitt, 35, of the 100 block of Andras Street in Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested at 3:55 a.m. Saturday on the charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and criminal damage to property. A deputy responded to a disturbance at a residence on Sebby’s Lane in Bayou Vista and learned that Bobbitt entered into a residence and began breaking items inside the home, Hebert said.
Bobbitt was jailed with no bail set.
Hebert reported responding to 140 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Keyia D. Pittman, 29, of the 900 block of Duke Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:04 p.m. Friday on the charge of simple assault. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance in the parking lot of a business on Lake Palourde Road in Amelia. The deputy learned that, while parking her vehicle, Pittman nearly struck another woman’s vehicle, Hebert said. Pittman then verbally threatened the victim, the sheriff said. The deputy released Pittman on a summons to appear in court Sept. 16.
—Michael Alvarez, 39, of the 1200 block of Barrow Street in Amelia, was arrested at 1:48 p.m. Saturday on the charge of disturbing the peace intoxicated and on two warrants for failure to appear for a drug court status conference.
A deputy assigned to patrol the Amelia area observed three men who appeared to be arguing in the parking lot of a business on La. 182. The deputy made contact with the men. One of them, identified as Alvarez, appeared to be highly intoxicated, Hebert said. Alvarez was jailed with bail set at $200,500.
—Taylor Murphy, 20, of the 100 block of Green Leaf Boulevard in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:05 p.m. Saturday on two Morgan City Police warrants charging her with telephone harassment and failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace.
A deputy made contact with Murphy at a residence on Sun Road in Bayou Vista and learned of the active warrants for her arrest. Murphy was jailed with no bail set.
—Ever Perez, 30, of the 700 block of Onstead Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:29 a.m. Sunday on the charges of disturbing the peace intoxicated and entry or remaining in places or on land after being forbidden. A deputy was flagged down by the employees of a business on La. 182 in Amelia in reference to an intoxicated person, Hebert said.
The deputy made contact with Perez and observed that he was in a highly intoxicated state, Hebert said. The deputy learned that Perez had previously been told not to return to the location, the sheriff said. Perez was jailed and later released on $1,000 bail.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrests:
—Taylor Chaisson, 19, of Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 6:10 p.m. Saturday on the charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Chaisson turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department for an outstanding warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation started in May in which Chaisson is alleged to have had consensual sex with a juvenile, Blair said. Chaisson was jailed.
—Taylor Murphy, 20, of Greenleaf Boulevard in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:27 p.m. Saturday on warrants charging her with disturbing the peace, probation violation and telephone harassment.
Murphy was transported from the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville to the Morgan City Police for outstanding warrants. She was jailed.
—Cody M. Louviere, 26, of New Iberia, was arrested at 5:23 p.m. Sunday on an Iberia Parish warrant for failure to appear.
Officers were dispatched to Lake End Park in regard to a disturbance. Officers checked local warrants on the parties involved and determined that Louviere held an outstanding warrant from Iberia Parish. Louviere was jailed.
—Robert L. Randolph, 47, of North Third Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:52 a.m. today on the charge of disturbing the peace with offensive language.
Officers were dispatched to a bar on La. 182 in regard to someone causing a disturbance. Employees of the business stated that Randolph, who had previously been banned from the business, was using profanities against them and the customers, Blair said. Officers located Randolph, who was jailed.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Glynn Guidry Jr., 34, of Carline Street in Berwick, was arrested at 12:32 p.m. Friday on the charge of disturbing the peace intoxicated, on a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant charging him with failure to appear for stop sign violation, driving while intoxicated first offense, hit and run, and flight from an officer. Guidry was jailed.
—Clint Commander, 34, of Katy, Texas, was arrested at 10:05 a.m. Saturday on a warrant charging him with telephone harassment. Commander was released on $500 bail.
—Billy Bentley, 51, of Fourth Street in Berwick, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Sunday on the charge of theft by shoplifting. Bentley was jailed on $300 bail.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Paul Mouton, 54, of the 1300 block of First Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. Friday on the charges of criminal damage to property and unlawful entry of an inhabited dwelling. Mouton was jailed with no bail set yet.
—Leroy Ogwin Jr., 58, of the 500 block of Park Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. Sunday on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Ogwin was jailed with no bail set yet.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Ronnie Theriot reported the following arrest relating to the Tri-City area:
—Leslie Taylor, 50, of the 1000 block of Stephensville Road in Stephensville, was arrested on the charges of child endangerment and domestic abuse.
