Sheriff: Slap earns man a battery charge

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported 44 complaints and reports the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Krystal Hood, 32, of the 100 block of Almond Road in Lucedale, Mississippi, was arrested at 5:21 p.m. Thursday for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a report of a domestic battery in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Hood slapped a male victim during an argument. Hood was jailed with no bail set.
—Stephen Taylor, 31, of the 400 block of Teche Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 5:22 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of following too close and failure to honor written promise to appear.
A deputy made contact with Taylor at his residence and learned of the active warrant for his arrest.
Taylor was booked and posted $500 bail.
—Allen R. Simmons, 55, of the 700 block of East Sixteenth St. in Minneapolis, was arrested at 8:45 p.m Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Simmons was brought to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on a felony probation violation. During booking, a jailer located an active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.
—Clarence Williamson, 67, no address, was arrested at 9:44 p.m. Thursday for remaining where forbidden.
A deputy responded to a request to remove a subject from a residence on Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista.
The deputy spoke with the complainant and learned that Williamson had been allowed to stay with the resident for a while but was now no longer allowed on the property.
The deputy spoke to Williamson, who then vacated the property.
A short time later, the deputy was dispatched to the same location and learned that Williamson had returned.He was booked and released on a summons to appear in court on Sept. 16.
Morgan city Police Chief James Blair the following arrests:
—Tremayne A. Skinnerk, 38, of Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:53 p.m. Thursday on obscenity charges.
Skinner was already incarcerated at the Morgan City Jail, when he exposed his genitals to another inmate. He was additionally charged and continues to be incarcerated.
—Galen W. Ford, 23, of Centerville, Kasha L. Cordova, 47, of Ditch Avenue in Morgan City, were arrested at 3:14 p.m. Thursday on a direct contempt of court charge.
Ford and Cordova were both in the City Court of Morgan City, where both subjects disrupted court proceedings causing them to be charged with direct comtempt of court. They were placed under arrest, booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Jail.
—Renetta Clark, 52, of Centerville, was arrested 6:20 p.m. Thursday on a warrants for probation violation and failure to appear.
She was transported from the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville to the Morgan City Police Department for outstanding warrants held for the Sixth Ward City Court.
Clark was booked and incarcerated.
—Sherrica L. Theriot, 34, of Red Cypress in Patterson, was arrested at 12:22 a.m. today on warrants for failure to pay fine and failure to pay restitution.
She was located in the area of Federal Avenue and Egle Street. A local warrants check determined that she held outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court.
Theriot was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
—Zachary T. Golden, 29, of New Orleans, was arrested at 1:34 a.m. today on a warrant for failure to appear.
He was located walking in the area of Brashear Avenue. A local warrants check determined that he held an outstanding warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court.
Golden was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
—Ammedah Charles, 30, and Felton Charles, 33, both of Eleventh Street in Morgan City, were arrested at 2:24 a.m. today.
Ammedah Charles was charged with no license plate and driving under suspension.
Felton Charles was held on a warrant for probation violation.
A patrol officer in the area of La. 182 and Ditch Avenue observed a vehicle without a license plate.
A traffic stop resulted in the driver, Ammedah Charles, being asked to produce a valid driver’s license.
A computer check was done and it determined that Ammedah Charles’ driver’s license was suspended.
The passenger, Felton Charles, held outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court.
Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Larry Eddy, 51, of California Street in Berwick, was arrested at 6:40 p.m. Thursday on Sixth Street for disturbing the peace.
Her remains incarcerated.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle had no arrests to report.
