Sheriff warns of phone scam

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office received several complaints of a phone scam Thursday, a news release said. According to detectives, the scammer claims to be "Shaun Woods" with the IRS. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office phone number is reportedly showing up on victims phones as the caller. This is a scam. Please warn your family and friends, the release said.
