By ZACHARY FITZGERALD zfitzgerald@daily-review.com

Two Franklin men wanted on battery charges, a 29-year-old Franklin man wanted on charges ranging from possession of cocaine with intent to distribute to flight from an officer, and a 25-year-old Morgan City man wanted on drug charges and for aggravated flight from an officer are the new additions to the August edition of The Daily Review’s Most Wanted.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff
Kevin L. James, 29, of the 800 block of Iberia Street in Franklin, is wanted on a warrant for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, criminal trespassing and flight from an officer, and a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of Schedule I drugs second offense and introducing or possessing contraband in a penal institution
The arrest warrant for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute stems from a search warrant that was executed at James’ Iberia Street address. During the search, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s narcotics detectives located crack cocaine inside the residence, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
James was not at the location at the time of the investigation and a warrant was obtained for his arrest on the drug charge, Hebert said.
Anyone with information may contact the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-828-1960 or 985-384-1622.
Suspects Larry Dean Robertson and Andre Jones still have active warrants for their arrests. Robertson is wanted for armed robbery and failure to appear for simple robbery. Jones is wanted for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family. Robertson and Jones have both been on the Most Wanted list since October 2012.
Previously listed suspect Carlin David Stelly is in the Vermilion Parish Jail where he will be held pending the warrant charges, Hebert said. Stelly was wanted on warrants for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

Michael Payton, 26, whose last known address is in the 400 block of Liner Street in Franklin, is wanted for simple battery, disturbing the peace by loud and abusive behavior, simple assault and no driver’s license.
The warrants stem from an incident that occurred May 9, where officers responded to a disturbance where Payton got out of his vehicle in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Third Street, and yelled and cursed at the victim. Payton was also accused of swinging at the victim, Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire said in a news release. Payton is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.

There was also damage to a fence at the residence. Paul is also wanted on warrants dated Oct. 16, 2012, for simple criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace.
