Suspect on Most Wanted list faces charges

A 22-year-old Jeanerette man, who had been featured in The Daily Review’s Most Wanted edition from October 2012 to January 2015, was charged Friday on a more than three-year-old armed robbery warrant, according to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert.
—Larry Dean Robertson Jr., 22, of the 100 block of Edward Lane in Jeanerette, was arrested at 2:09 p.m. Friday on a warrant for armed robbery with a weapon and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple robbery.
Robertson was transported from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. The warrant for armed robbery stems from an investigation into a complaint received May 29, 2012. Investigators learned that Robertson and a victim were traveling in a vehicle in the Ashton area when Robertson produced a handgun and demanded money from the victim, Hebert said. Bail is set at $285,000.
Hebert reported responding to 110 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Antoine D. Webb, 32, of the 5700 block of Lerado Street in Commerce, Colorado, was arrested at 9:38 p.m. Friday on a Terrebonne Parish warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and no driver’s license. A deputy conducting a check of a vehicle that was stopped on Roy’s Lane in Verdunville made contact with the driver and found an active warrant for his arrest. Webb was jailed with bail set at $1,000.
—Darian Bridget, 20, of the 100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Patterson, was arrested at 2:27 a.m. today on a warrant charging him with probation violation.
A deputy conducting checks on buildings in Bayou Vista observed a vehicle parked at a business on Arlington Street. The deputy made contact with a person inside the vehicle, identified as Bridget, and learned of an active warrant for his arrest. Bridget was jailed with no bail set.
—Donnie Reed, 62, of the 1000 block of Grace Street in Amelia, was arrested at 3:03 a.m. today on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
A deputy located Reed at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrests:
—Rinney Turner, 23, of 11th Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:47 a.m. Saturday on the charge of possession of Schedule I synthetic cannabinoids.
Turner was located in the area of Fifth and Everett streets. Turner had been a passenger of a vehicle involved in a traffic stop. During the investigation, officers located suspected synthetic marijuana on Turner, Blair said. Turner was jailed.
—Marcus K. Walker, 36, of New Iberia, was arrested at 2:29 a.m. Saturday on the charges of simple battery, disturbing the peace intoxicated and resisting an officer.
Officers were dispatched to a business on Brashear Avenue in regard to a disturbance. The victim told officers she was struck by Walker. Officers located Walker, who admitted to committing the battery on the victim, Blair said. Officers could also smell an odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath, Blair said. Walker was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Once at the police department, Walker began to resist officers, but was subdued and additionally charged, Blair said.
—Misty L. Gaudet, 27, of Pierre Part, was arrested at 3:32 p.m. Saturday on the charge of speeding 37 mph in a 25 mph zone and on a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant charging her with theft under $500.
A patrol officer in the area of Railroad Avenue and Sixth Street observed a vehicle going faster than the speed posted. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver, Gaudet, produced the proper paperwork for the vehicle. The officer determined that Gaudet held an outstanding warrant for the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office. Gaudet was jailed.
—Carlven C. Chapman, 39, of Louisiana Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:57 p.m. Sunday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear.
Chapman was located on North Third Street. Chapman was determined to hold an outstanding warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court. Chapman was jailed.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—Quentin Riley, 35, of the 400 block of Tiffany Street in Patterson, was arrested at 8:55 a.m. Sunday on a warrant charging him with theft by fraud. Riley was released on $500 bail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
