Teen charged with school burglary

A 17-year-old Morgan City male was arrested today on a warrant for an alleged school burglary, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
—James A. Davis Jr., 17, of Cardinal Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 4 a.m. today on a warrant for simple burglary.
Davis was located by officers in the area of Brashear and Federal avenues where Davis was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department.
The warrant was obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Department Detectives of an alleged burglary of a building on the grounds of a local school on March 18.
Davis was transported to the Morgan City Jail where Davis was booked and incarcerated.
Blair reported the following arrests:
—Antoine O. Randle, 30, of Wren Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:35 p.m. Friday on the charge of domestic abuse battery.
An officer responded to an address on Wren Street in regard to a call of a welfare concern. The officer arrived and spoke with two occupants of the home, one identified as the victim of a battery and the other as Randle.
Police learned that Randle and the victim were involved in an argument when Randle allegedly committed a battery on the victim. The officer found evidence supporting the statements of a battery. Randle was jailed.
—Geron Stewart, 17, of Egle Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 4 p.m. Friday on a warrant charging him with disturbing the peace by fighting.
Stewart came to the Morgan City Police Department where he turned himself over to officers in regard to an active arrest warrant. The warrant stems from an alleged fight Stewart was reported to have been involved in Feb. 24. Stewart was jailed.
—Wesley R. Bass, 19, of River Road in Berwick, was arrested at 8:46 p.m. Friday on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of no driver’s license, no vehicle insurance and no seat belt.
Bass was transported from the Berwick Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department Jail in regard to active arrest warrants. Bass was jailed.
—Joseph Embry, 41, of Woodhue Drive in Bullard, Texas, was arrested at 2:08 a.m. today on the charge of disturbing the peace intoxicated.
Officers responded to a motel on La. 182 in regard to a subject causing a disturbance. Police arrived and located Embry, who matched the description provided. Several witnesses told officers that Embry was shouting out profane language, disturbing other occupants of the motel. Officers spoke with Embry and suspected him to be intoxicated. Embry was jailed.
—Kayla S. Boudreaux, 29, of Lizabeth Drive in Morgan City, was arrested at 10 a.m. Sunday on the charges of switched license plate, no vehicle insurance and no motor vehicle inspection sticker.
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling in the area of La. 182 near Industrial Road when the officer noticed the vehicle had a switched license plate and stopped the vehicle. The driver, Boudreaux, was operating the vehicle without insurance nor did it have a motor vehicle inspection sticker. Boudreaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where Boudreaux was booked and incarcerated.
—Andre D. Wilson, 30, of Chester Bowles Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 6:27 p.m. Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear Sept. 8, 2015, for contempt of court
Wilson was located by officers at a residence on Chester Bowles Street where Wilson was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court.
Wilson was transported to the Morgan City Jail and was booked and incarcerated.
—Angela D. Barrow, 48, of Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 7:37 p.m. Sunday on the charge of disturbing the peace.
Officers responded to the 600 block of Egle Street regarding a report of a large disturbance. The officers arrived and observed several people involved in the reported disturbance.
According to reports, the officers began to disperse the crowd when one of the subjects involved, later identified as a male juvenile, ignored the officers warning and continued shouting profanities.
The juvenile was placed under arrest. Barrow approached the officer shouting profane language. Reports indicate that Barrow was told several times to calm down but she also ignored the officers’ warnings.
Barrow continued to shout profanities toward the officers. Barrow was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where Barrow was booked and incarcerated.
—Stephen P. Templet, 40, of Franklin Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:40 a.m. today on a warrant for failure to appear Feb. 25, 2014, for following too close.
Templet was located by officers on La. 70 where Templet was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Templet was transported to the Morgan City Jail and was booked and incarcerated.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 108 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Michael W. Martin, 33, of the 3500 block of Second Street in Berwick, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. Friday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. Martin turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on an administrative sanction. During booking, a correctional officer located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.
—Jose M. Bibian, 29, of the 100 block of Lenny’s Lane in Amelia, was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Saturday on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Luis Cerritos, 23, of the 100 block of Odile Street in Amelia, was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Saturday on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies investigating a complaint of loud music and the possible discharge of a firearm on Odile Street made contact with Bibian and Cerritos. Deputies received consent to search two vehicles parked in the area and located three light bulbs with drug residue inside.
During the investigation, Bibian and Cerritos admitted to deputies that they used the lightbulbs to smoke methamphetamine. Deputies found no evidence of a firearm or of a firearm being discharged. Both subjects were released on summonses to appear in court Aug. 29.
—Brianna Stewart, 19, of the 400 block of Broussard Street in Patterson, was arrested at 8:52 p.m. Saturday on the charge of disturbing the peace fighting.
—Kenya Ruffin, 22, of the 300 block of Leo Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 8:52 p.m. Saturday on the charge of disturbing the peace fighting.
A deputy was dispatched to a complaint of a fight at a business in Bayou Vista. The deputy collected statements indicating that Stewart and Ruffin were engaged in an argument that escalated into a physical fight. Both subjects were released on summonses to appear in court Aug. 29.
—Brady P. Rodriguez, 24, of the 300 block of Onstead Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation. While assisting a Berwick police officer with a traffic stop near the foot of the La. 182 bridge in Morgan City, a deputy made contact with Rodriguez and located the active warrant for his arrest. Rodriguez was booked into parish jail with bail set at $15,000.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Chad Romano, 32, of the 400 block of Tiffany Street in Patterson, was arrested at 10:33 p.m. Friday on a warrant charging him with simple assault, harassment and stalking. Romano was released on $2,000 bail.
—Shayla Chaney, 20, of the 100 block of Hendricks Street in Patterson, was arrested at 11:40 a.m. Sunday on a warrant charging her with simple criminal damage to property. Chaney was released on $1,000 bail.
—Tarrike Phillips Jr., 23, of Ellis Street in Patterson, was arrested at 5:43 p.m. Sunday on the charge of seat belt violation and on a warrant charging him for resisting an officer by flight. Phillips was jailed on $476 bail.
—Nathan Lovell III, 22, of the 100 block of Riverview Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 11:08 p.m. Sunday on the charges of simple battery, resisting an officer by flight and driving under suspension. No bail is set yet.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Heather Welch, 24, of Jones Street in Berwick, was arrested at 5:41 p.m. Friday on the charge of theft by shoplifting. Welch was jailed with bail set at $300.
—Wesley Bass, 19, of River Road in Berwick, was arrested at 6:53 p.m. Friday for failure to appear in Morgan City Court on the charges of no seat belt, no insurance and no driver’s license. Bass was transported to the Morgan City Police Department.
—Corey Mire, 28, of Southwest Boulevard in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 3:05 a.m. Sunday on the charge of driving under suspension. Mire was released on $1,000 bail.
—Roland Guy, 25, of Fourth Street in Berwick, was arrested at 10:28 p.m. Sunday for a parole violation through the Arkansas Department of Corrections. No bail is set yet.
