(Updated) Police: Shooting suspects planned attack; no one injured

Three suspects arrested in connection with a Monday night drive-by shooting in Morgan City allegedly planned their attack targeting a certain person. But no one was injured in the shooting, police said in a news release.
--Devonte Breaux, 18, of Cremo Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 8:17 p.m. Monday on the charges of attempted second-degree murder, assault by drive-by shooting, assault by drive-by shooting, illegal carrying of a weapon, on16th Judicial District warrants for theft under $750 and unauthorized use of a moveable, and a 6th Ward City Court warrant for simple criminal damage to property.
--Lindsey Morris, 23, of Aycock Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. Monday on the charges of attempted second-degree murder and assault by drive-by shooting.
--James Naverre, 19, of Apple Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:17 p.m. Monday on the charges of attempted second-degree murder and assault by drive-by shooting.
Shortly before 8 p.m. Monday, Morgan City police responded to a complaint of shots fired in the area of Orange Street in Morgan City, according to a news release. Officers arrived to learn that unknown subjects had fired a weapon into a residence and fled the scene.
Based on a vehicle description provided, Morgan City patrol officers apprehended three suspects in the area along with a .38-caliber handgun, the release said.
The suspects, Breaux, Morris and Naverre were detained and an investigation conducted. Based on evidence and statements recovered, investigators learned that the subjects had allegedly planned the attack, the release said. Detectives also learned the intended target's identity. No person, including children inside the residence were injured, the release stated.
