Confiscating phones may teach surly teens to show respect
DEAR ABBY: I’m the mother of two teenagers, ages 13 and 15. I am trying to teach them to do chores and help around the house, but all I get is attitude from them.

DEAR ABBY: I’m a widow and have been seeing someone for two years. He often stays at my home. He treats me well, but we have different tastes in furnishings.
DEAR ABBY: My husband and I have a 22-year-old son who has moved back home due to his relocating. His girlfriend of six months has done some suspicious and devious things.
DEAR ABBY: I am in a happy relationship with a wonderful man. Our life is great together and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I have one issue, however.
DEAR ABBY: Mom is 61. She lost her husband (my dad) six months ago. They had been married for 37 years. He used to do almost everything for her.
