Tribute to Max Thibodeaux

June 23, 2014
Dear Editor,
I, along with many other people, was surprised and saddened to read of the death of Max Thibodeaux Jr.
Max was one of those people you don’t meet too often and you either agree with him or disagree. So many of us would arrive at our office early in the morning only to find a long letter Max had written to some public official or about a matter affecting many people. He would then fax a copy to all of us to read, either to agree or disagree with it.
But, Max exemplified what America is all about. I am sure that many of you in years past have read his letters written in tribute to America, to our military and in particular to his two brothers-in-law, P.T. Bailey and “Dub” Noble. In these writings, you could realize what a proud American he was.
Max also believed in “the power of the press.” We don’t hear that very often any more.
I will miss reading his letters and some of the discussions they created.
Yours truly,
(S) Jackie Price
